Sadly, the people around him that he appointed to his cabinet are just as stupid. Bessent, Lutnick, and Navarro.

To be expected when the only relevant qualification is loyalty. All this nonsense about "DEI" policies lowering the bar is projection.

Well, they simply believe white people are superior.
If a minority is hired, it must be DEI, and therefore scheduled for release/replacement, by one of them.

It's just turned back the close to when amera was supposedly great. I think they are imagining circa, what, 1955?

The last club member that didn't let Trump win was taken behind the maintenance shed…

Trump's playbook for reporting his golf exploits:

"In 1994, Pyongyang media reported that the first time Kim picked up a golf club, he shot a 38-under par round on North Korea's only golf course, including 11 holes-in-one. Reports say each of his 17 bodyguards verified the record-breaking feat. He then decided to retire from the sport forever."

Too bad Kim retired. We could settle everything with a simple 18-hole showdown for all the marbles.

Two men enter, one survives.

Musk swipes at Navarro amid tariff turmoil: 'He ain't built sh@it' - POLITICO

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/04/05/elon-musk-peter-navarro-tariffs-00006930

"In the early hours of Saturday morning, Musk took to his social media platform X to launch an apparent attack at the president's senior trade counselor, taking jabs at Navarro under a video in which he explained the Trump administration's logic in levying tariffs during a CNN appearance.

"A PhD in Econ from Harvard is a bad thing, not a good thing. Results in the ego/brains>>1 problem," Musk wrote in one post. (Navarro earned a PhD in economics from Harvard in the 1980s.)

The Department of Government Efficiency head replied to another user's comment on the video lauding Navarro's explanation, writing of the economist: "He ain't built sh@it."

Musk also responded to another user posting a quote attributed to well-known conservative economist and commentator Thomas Sowell as saying "in every disaster throughout American history, there always seems to be a man from Harvard in the middle of it."

"Yup," Musk wrote under the post, seemingly referring to Navarro.

Sowell has sharply criticized Trump's tariffs, warning that they could set off a global trade war and possibly trigger another Great Depression."

Maybe Musk will save the Republic after all.

He can start by figuring out how to put Nasty Navarro back in the hoosegow.

You know, my favorite line out of Jan 6 is Melber: "Do you realize you are describing a Coup?!"
Navarro: "No".

But listening to this again it just struck me that what Navarro announced as the plan is almost exactly what NC is doing now with the 60k votes for state supreme court. Raise doubts, kick it to a favorable select group for re-tally = Green Bay Sweep.

Trump's tariff policy is a sledgehammer but it's purpose is not to be used permanently, it's to initiate bilateral negotiations. He's going to force nations to begin negotiations because of tariffs. Put it this way, if he did nothing, nothing would change. If you're a country ripping off the US, you would rather like that to continue happening.

Hmmmm.

The sheer stupidity by non-Cal alums here is frightening.

Never mind that Apple did what Trump wanted the first time around and moved some of its ops out of China to Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Ireland. Now they're being penalized for doing so. So much for Tim Cook having spent years trying to build a tight-knit relationship with Trump.

How can anyone run a business with such chaos?

" They can't stop it head-on, so they'll slow it down just enough to let rigged election cycles…."

Trump has finally gotten his supporters to adopt his 10 year old boy strategy of accusing others of engaging in misconduct to distract them from figuring out is the precise conduct he is engaging in (projection).

This strategy is being used right now in North Carolina to set aside the election for state Supreme Court justice position won by a Democrat. "Elections" will become as meaningless in America as they are in Russia.

New court decision in a disputed North Carolina race means 65,000 votes are a step closer to be being thrown out

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/new-court-decision-disputed-north-carolina-race-means-65000-votes-are-rcna199746

" The one Democratic judge involved in the state Court of Appeals' decision said the majority's ruling amounted to "changing the rules by which these lawful voters took part in our electoral process after the election to discard their otherwise valid votes" and called the majority's ruling an "an attempt to alter the outcome of only one race among many on the ballot is directly counter to law, equity, and the Constitution."

This has been how they do business in NC for a while. If Republicans don't win, change the rules.
Here's how the North Carolina Democratic Party does business, where they were forced to pay damages to pay the North Carolina Green Party's legal fees due to 'frivolous' and 'unreasonable' intervention in the third party's battle for ballot access in 2022.

But please, tell us more about how the North Carolina Republican Party is uniquely bad.

https://www.carolinajournal.com/nc-democrats-forced-to-pay-green-party-for-frivolous-intervention/

I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing at the idea that the Green Party could have had an election "stolen" from them in North Carolina.

I don't agree with this kind of thing either, but come on with the false equivalencies here.

But the only pertinent question is how much lower is the market going?

S&P lost 60% in 2009.
This is down 20%

I'm saying this goes down 40-45%.
