The toppling of those traitor statues and NASCAR banning the traitor flag must really have your rear end puckering up.

How American Power Dynamics Have Shaped Perceptions of Looting, From the Boston Tea Party to Today

https://time.com/5851111/protests-looting/

Quote:

Since its first uses, the word "looting" has affected how any event or protest is perceived. Now, as many non-black Americans re-examine the role of race in their own beliefs and actions, looting has likewise come in for new consideration. In addition to the age-old factors and questions about who counts as a looter and what looting means, people are asking themselves whether it's time to ask a new type of question.

For example, in response to one person's sympathetic tweet about a looted Macy's store, Jen Rubio, co-founder of the luggage brand Away, tweeted, "I urge you to redirect your empathy from Macy's to the Black community. If you're uneasy seeing a store being looted, imagine how it feels for Black Americans to see their community being looted daily through systemic racism. I say this as someone whose store was looted."

Minneapolis police have now identified a white supremacist as an early instigator of the Minneapolis rioting. Caught on video smashing windows of the AutoZone store that was eventually burned down and spray painting "free s*** for everyone zone". He is a member of the "Aryan Cowboy Brotherhood".

As the white supremacist was caught on video destroying property, nearby peaceful protesters confronted him and told him to stop. He then threatened them.

Finally, Democrats have been saying protests have been peaceful all along but not anymore.

Biden finally condemns the rioting but blames Trump! It was peaceful until today.

It's people like these that give people with genuine concerns a bad name.

We'll get justice for George Floyd at the gas station harassing people.

Hey look, an actual study:

93% of Black Lives Matter Protests Have Been Peaceful, New Report Finds

Quote:

The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) analyzed more than 7,750 Black Lives Matter demonstrations in all 50 states and Washington D.C. that took place in the wake of George Floyd's death between May 26 and August 22.

Their report states that more than 2,400 locations reported peaceful protests, while fewer than 220 reported "violent demonstrations." The authors define violent demonstrations as including "acts targeting other individuals, property, businesses, other rioting groups or armed actors." Their definition includes anything from "fighting back against police" to vandalism, property destruction looting, road-blocking using barricades, burning tires or other materials. In cities where protests did turn violentthese demonstrations are "largely confined to specific blocks," the report says.

The ACLED report includes protests toppling statues of "colonial figures, slave owners and Confederate leaders" as violent incidents. "Since Floyd's killing, there have been at least 38 incidents in which demonstrators have significantly damaged or torn down memorials around the country," the report states.

Ok, now do the same for cops.

How many arrest of african americans are non-violent?

I bet it's alot higher than 93%. Also, the fact that some people are holding up "93%" as something to be proud of is hilarious.

Cops should be held to a higher standard. The citizens pay their salary, and their use of violence is sanctioned by the state. Making this an apples-to-apples comparison is not valid.
