The reality is, on paper this FSU team should beat Cal by 50. If they figured that out just in time for this game, that's classic Cal football luck.

On short punts, I don't know why we don't just target punting it out of bounds at the 7. Even if there is a 5 yard margin of error, the best field position the opponent has is the 12, which is way better than a touchback.

If we keep playing like that, the game could end up 34-17 or something. Wilcox will claw back some points in garbage time to make it look less embarrassing as usual, but FSU will dominate us if this continues.

We are just underperforming with Wilcox. It is one thing for FSU to have better talent, that I understand, but for Cal to not have smart coaches is tough to take.

Wilcox is just a very mediocre coach, at best. He's a nice guy, but his teams consistently show up unprepared with questionable conditioning, his game plans and in-game decisions are painfully predictable.
