If you're gonna be a defensive minded coach with a conservative offense and low scoring games you can't also have a terrible special teams year after year.

I hate that two automatic things are disasters for Cal:
Running up the middle is a defense killer and 2+ yards at every other school in the country. Here it's a disaster because our oline is just soft. We BSed about Heisman for ott, but he can't get a yard just trucking forward?
Kicking a field goal is an "at least we came away with points", but Cal fans rightfully know it's effectively a turnover on downs.
It's fine that we can't do basic football things, but why don't we change the game plan to account for the inability? Do coaches not notice?
