She is a huge loss.

Wedged between two of my favorite actors, both born in 1930, as were two more of my favorite actors, McQueen and Eastwood (the last man standing).

He likes the guessing game. It's his schtick.
I've already asked, but then he called me an Obituary Nazi or Fascist, so rather than flag him for cruel and unusual name calling I just let him continue to do his schtick, because, you know, I can control what people do or don't post.

How about Obituary Thread Czar? That's got a bit of cachet, I think.

And as Obituaries Czar, would I get to command who enters, too?

RIP Lou Holtz. A lot of BI posters should read that last quote of his. For example, read posters' comments during the first third of our b-ball game against GT yesterday, then read them today.

Stephen Hibbert, Who Played 'The Gimp' in 'Pulp Fiction,' Dead at 68
Stephen Hibbert, an actor with a comedy background who famously portrayed the Gimp in Pulp Fiction, has died. Hibbert's daughter, Rosalind, confirmed the news to Rolling Stone. The actor was 68.

"Our father, Stephen Hibbert, passed away unexpectedly this week," his children Ronnie, Rosalind and Greg, reportedly told TMZ, which reported he died of a heart attack on Monday in Denver. "His life was full of love and dedication to the arts and his family. He will be dearly missed by many." Hibbert had described himself as "semi-retired" in recent years,...

Neuroscientists would flip the 90/10 bit. You have no choice about your dna, who raised you, where and when you grew up. Those are (1) nature and (2) nurture
Neither do you have a choice about (3)random events that strike you, like a car out of its lane or a military draft that sends you to Nam.
All those things dominate who you are, as they fill and drive your subconscious mind , which is supermajorly responsible for your thoughts and actions.

(4) Choice, or Free Will, which traditionally has been thought to be entirely responsible for who we become, is questionable altogether as lab testing can predict how a person is going to decide nanoseconds before an impulse hits the prefrontal cortex.

It's as if the subconscious which runs off deep-seated impulses rather than active thought, tells the conscious mind what to say or do.

I saw the tagline of the first poster and had a chuckle. " Strong...Hard and passionate".

Then I remembered the plaque from circa 1970 at an old little league baseball field. It read:
"In Memory of
Fred (I forget the name)
He loved boys"

Us dads use to gather around that and giggle, trying not to get the attention of the kids.
