Good short essay on the broken corporate oligarchy that is the US healthcare system, and observation on regulatory capture.

No GDP comparison. And never mind that 3.1 million jobs were lost during Trump 's term.

Youre not very smart.
Youre perpetually dumb.

Bro, you've resorted to using dajo's distorted line of thinking now. This is what happens when you pay money to read Peggy Noonan.

You were the same Clown that was parrotting Trump saying that the economy had the fastest economic growth in history in Q3-2020 with GDP at 33.1%"

Hypocrite much?

Donold's Great Depression of 2024 Watch:

The S&P 500 reached a new record high on Thursday. President Biden continues to be the worst communist ever. In August the retail sales portion of the GDP calculation rose an annualized 5.7%. The World Bank raised its global 2024 growth rate prediction to 2.6% from 2.4% citing strong growth in the U.S.

The greatest economy of the 21st century, so far, rages on. 254,000 new jobs in September. 4% annualized wage gains - well above inflation.

Also, they admitted that they did not count 72k jobs in July and August that have been added to the jobs report.

Moving away from propaganda, this is my personal view from the data I am seeing (not just articles but from economists and sell-side analysts at banks).

Currently at the lower part of the wave in cyclical industries, especially those involved in EV and overall manufacturing and with challenges from demand and isolationism in China somewhat offset by other high growth markets (China is no longer viewed as high growth market). Lower government spending with election coming up. Insider sentiments are that markets would do slightly better with a Trump election with less regulation but risk of more tariffs and chaos with Trump as well. More risks from potential oil price hitting high numbers due to Middle East conflicts. However, still no strong consumer or market support for electrification. Despite job report, still a soft market for high paying jobs. Attrition is down as people are afraid of leaving jobs, reducing wage increase in professional and white collar roles More and more companies doing restructuring to contain costs in light of uncertainty on the top line revenue. Still uncertainty on inflation, although not a big risk especially with reduced risk of supply chain constraints from unions. Oil may be a pain point for consumers. Tech companies like Google had previously dedicated almost all resources to AI but that is slowing. AI investment focus continues, although efficiency in spending on AI is getting more attention. After initial rate drop, interest rates are creeping back up slightly. Still a challenging environment for consumers with high debt loads. Mixed bag.

I wouldn't use the word "admitted".
That's misleading.

Monthly jobs numbers are always subjected to revision.

At the end of the day, 254,000 was a significant "beat" on the Dow Jones economist consensus at 150,000.
The median estimate based on 25 estimates collected by FactSet was 140,000.

This is a BLOWOUT number and may make the Fed somewhat hesitant to aggressively cut rates between now and year end as had been expected.

That's just me trolling the MAGAts. Every time there is a downward revision they use the word "admitted" because, as you say, it is misleading.

The greatest economy of the 21st century has delivered another 0.4% bump in retail sales. Our economy is the envy of the world. We couldn't have done it without the influx of migrants who filled the jobs needed as Boomers retired. Thank you President Biden, who will likely go down as the best President of our lifetimes.

That's very interesting, if true. You do realize that you are extreme outliers in your party? And the fact remains that Trump is still in the race because his base would vote for him under any circumstances. Look at the efforts now to explain how the 40 minute dance break was a genius move on his part, and has nothing to do with his mental acuity.

And you still manage to parrot tribalistic commentary about Kamala. A large amount of what you declare is essential copy paste talking points from the Trump War Room.

Some bad kids can be good, but often times the good was a one off, and they return to their bad behaviors pretty quickly.

Massive increase in yield during October as the market figures out that Trump's policies would usher in more spending and tax cuts . . . and increase the debt at a time when U.S. borrowing is highly elevated.

10 Year yield back up at 4.24%

A.) The Unemployment Rate Held Steady at 4.1%

B.) Hurricanes Helene and Milton likely reduced employment last month by about 70,000 in the Southeast,

C.) An ongoing Boeing strike along with smaller walkouts at Textron, an aerospace parts maker, and Hilton Hotels most likely suppressed payrolls by about 40,000, according to Nomura.

D.) About 512,000 people said they were unable to work because of weather, compared to a historical average of 32,000.

E.) Bear2034 isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
