I don't think he's Yogi, despite the over the top Democrats are the root of all evil nature of many of his posts. He has actually admitted being wrong once or twice and Yogi NEVER does that. Once you get past the absolutism of his initial posts on topics, he seems like he's not as bitter and angry as Yogi.

Nope, I'm a HUGE supporter of Free Speech. The built in protection are the defamation laws. If you lie and have a deep pocket, a jury will make you pay (see tRump E. Jean Carroll verdict). Fox News decided to make a bargain basement settlement payment of $787,000,000 to Dominion Voting Systems rather than have to give up all its dirty little secrets in discovery and get spanked even harder by a jury.

If your free speech is a Hate Crime or incites violence then the criminal justice system will handle it.

I find it humorous that Elon Musk is considered the guardian angel of free speech by some. There are dozens and dozens of stories by eyewitnesses to his censorship of people who disagree with him. Here are a couple of them:

Well, we can't all be experts.

My observation is that the biggest whiners on the Right regarding Free Speech are the ones that got called on spreading disinformation (and banning books). It brings to mind when after there were a few large sexual harassment verdicts in the 1990's, the two guys that were sexual harassers in my firm were whining, "Gee, you can't even have a conversation with a secretary anymore."

As a legal matter, no books were banned - you and a person in any state can pretty much buy any book you want (with the exception of illegal materials such as child porn). You are spreading disinformation, which is both humorous and ironic.

Of course, you might be engaging in a bit of political rhetoric or using a bit of shorthand (i.e., that banned = books excluded from public school curriculum). But your words - taken in isolation - are objectively false disinformation. Maybe Gavin will arrest you or the owner's of this website for permitting the posting of such disinformation?

And of course, that is the problem with your (and other liberals) position regarding censorship. Disinformation is in the eye of the beholder or part of normal political rhetoric/opinion - like when Kamala falsely says that Trump supports project 2025. Many of the statement surrounding covid and the lab leak where labeled disinformation and then proved correct.

And that is why we can't have politicians or courts deciding what is banned and what is permitted.

The defacto book banning occurring in the educational system is mission creeping into the public library system (we all know the end game) in some Red states. LOl - the fact that it took you so many words to make such an unconvincing case for book "defacto banning" makes my point. A book was not banned if it can be purchased and remains generally available. No books were banned - that is a fact.

Your argument is even more frivolous when you consider that people of the left have sought to "ban" (i.e., remove from school curriculum and libraries) books by Mark Twain, Steinback, and other American classics. Those books weren't banned - they were removed from curriculum.

You're free to make whatever absurd and mendacious arguments you want. It is disinformation - misleading speech. It doesn't change the overriding point which you dodge. Censorship is bad because opinions and political speech will inevitably be censored by the mob and people with power.

And LMAO at your link to Trump "embracing" the Heritage foundation. That is from 2018. Trump has said he doesn't support Project 2025. That is the only evidence that exists and for Kamala and her Krew to claim otherwise is disinformation. it is a lie.
