In all seriousness, one could make the argument that it isn't FUNNY and that, as such, it might be time for Jimmy to take a time out because, perhaps, things are a bit raw for it to be part of a late night show. But the idea that Jimmy Kimmel should be held to journalistic standards is sorta a new one.

The lawsuits against Trump were all politically motivated based on the timing of them. The problem for Trump is that he is too easy of a Lawfare target because he actually committed the crimes/civil wrongs.

The cases filed by Trump are all meritless but his targets are paying off because of the leverage the government has to block a merger, unleash the FCC Dogs of War, etc. Trump is doing little more than extorting "protection money" payments.

Trump's revenge criminal prosecution cases are all bullsh@it and even if they had merit the DOJ can't field a competent prosecutor.

Trump is the most investigated person on the planet. Obama, Comey, and company spied on him and couldn't find any satisfying dirt so they had to make up stuff and make it believable to convince law school graduates like you year after year.

I will admit I'm that I don't have time to do deep dives into stuff like this. The UK and other Western democracies do not have free speech protections as strong as those in the US. Personally, I think they should but it is not up to me.

Also, if I'm making a list of "countries that will most punish you for political speech" then I don't think the UK will be very high on that list.
