If Trump gets his way, could iPhones made in the US really cost $3,500?

You can always put me on IGNORE.

But you've repeatedly proven yourself incapable of doing so.

I give you life.

You reply to every single one of my posts.
And I rent tons of free space in your dome.
That's YOUR choice.

Not sure if any of the maga people here get outside much and take time away from sourcing and reposting memes and tweeeta, but in speaking to a local retailer that imports from Vietnam he said there was hope this foolishness would end as he knew Trump was pushing a massive resort and skyscraper there and so they had that chip to throw at him. So developers/contractors were fast tracking those projects and turning a blind eye…..but he said this is ok for the Vietnamese as corruption like this is the norm.

why not ask that to the millions of investors that think otherwise. Maybe they know something you don't….is that even possible?

Hey Genius . . .

How come Trump has imposed a 61% tariff on SWITZERLAND when SWITZERLAND has no tariffs on U.S. exports?

I already have a dog.

You're gonna have to find someone else to obsess over and follow around all day like a lost puppy dog.
It's the only thing that you appear to be "good" at.

Your "stalking" me in this forum is very well documented.

Have you stalked other people before?
An old girlfriend perhaps that didn't want to be around you anymore?

I can only imagine.

The U.S. Court of International Trade blocks Trump's Liberation Day Tariffs as exceeding his presidential authority.

https://apnews.com/article/trump-tariffs-trade-court-0392dbd59f548e49ad4f64254ae3f94a

"A federal court on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump from imposing sweeping tariffs on imports under an emergency-powers law, swiftly throwing into doubt Trump's signature set of economic policies that have rattled global financial markets, frustrated trade partners and raised broader fears about inflation intensifying and the economy slumping.

The ruling from a three-judge panel at the New York-based U.S. Court of International Trade came after several lawsuits arguing Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs exceeded his authority and left the country's trade policy dependent on his whims."

"The ruling amounted to a categorical rejection of the legal underpinnings of some of Trump's signature and most controversial actions of his four-month-old second term. The administration swiftly filed notice of appeal and the Supreme Court will almost certainly be called upon to lend a final answer but it casts a sharp blow.

"The Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariff Orders exceed any authority granted to the President by IEEPA to regulate importation by means of tariffs," the court wrote, referring to the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

The ruling left in place any tariffs that Trump put in place using his Section 232 powers from the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. He put a 25% tax on most imported autos and parts, as well as on all foreign-made steel and aluminum. Those tariffs depend on a Commerce Department investigation that reveals national security risks from imported products."

It takes time, but once again, Trump's been proven to have a poor grasp on what is legal and what he is or isn't allowed to do. He wasn't elected Emperor, he was elected President with all the restrictions that come with the job under the Constitution. Hopefully other legal cases again the Trump administration will get resolved soon. I'm confident as to which side has the weaker legal claims.

False. Will likely be overturned. The liberal three judges wrote:

"This power is conditioned on extensive procedural requirements including an investigation that culminates in an affirmative finding that another country imposed unfair trade barriers under 2411(a)(1)(A) or (B) or 2411(b), and a public notice and comment period. See id. 2414(b)."…"

The Sec 301/302 investigation and process noted was completed by USTR Jamieson Greer, with extensive citations. USTR Greer published a 397-page investigative outcome detailing the "unreasonable and discriminatory" burdens to United States commerce.

The New York trade court literally ignored the 2025 USTR investigation, and the 2025 Dept of Commerce review and investigation of the same based on the USTR published findings.

Ergo, it looks like the trade court didn't even review the USTR reports, or is ignoring them.

Congress has the authority to levy tariffs, per the constitution. This was absolutely mentioned in the press when Trump began his journey on the topic, but everyone figured such things no longer applied since he's been able to get the courts to bend on so much in his favor.

Well, we were wrong. There are still some folks left who apply the law accurately.

And you, ML, are suggesting they will be overturned. It is no surprise to us BI regulars. You lack law, order, reason. Just like Trump and his movement.

But the long lens of history will view all y'all as the scum you are.

Shocker.

U.S. Court of International Trade ruled that Trump overstepped his authority in imposing punitive tariffs on virtually every country in the world.

But analysts said broad uncertainty remained regarding the future of Trump's tariffs, which have cost companies more than $34 billion in lost sales and high costs, according to a Reuters analysis.

Meanwhile, a second U.S. court issued a preliminary ruling against the tariffs on Thursday, temporarily blocking them from going into effect in a case brought by educational toy maker Learning Resources.

I guess you cant claim that toys being made in other countries is a threat to national security.
