The CDC guidelines are that everyone should where a mask in large crowds outside.

People who are not fully vaccinated should where a mask outside in small gatherings unless everyone else is fully vaccinated. Small gatherings doesn't mean a planned party.

No one needs to where a mask if they are just walking or running or biking.

Fully vaccinated means 2 weeks after your second shot. A majority of those over 16 even in highly vaccinated areas do not meet that standard.

Personally, I'm not that concerned about a small gathering outdoors with the current rates in California, But basically, under the CDC guidelines a majority of people should be wearing a mask if they are outside and having more than incidental contact with people who are unvaccinated or not in their household. So plenty of people outside with masks are not looking for a medal, they are following the guideline.

Note that except for large outdoor gatherings (of which the only thing that exists is if those pictures of Florida beaches are accurate for the day they're using it), fully vaccinated people can do everything outside that is possible to do unmasked.

Still just LOL at all the things the CDC says you can't do if you're fully vaccinated. They simply just can't tell people the truth and trust them to act accordingly and it's making them look horrible. People on the fence are not going to get a vaccine if you tell them they have to wear masks afterwards, but they simply can't wrap their heads around that.

Well this is hanky level logic so I'm not surprised that it's wildly successful with Fox's base. I guess the pandemic has been good for Tucker's business so he aims to keep it going.

Beyond that, I would expect that you will see masks for a long time. Many people in Asia where masks either all the time or during flu season because they are used to it and it does reduce your chance of getting sick. Frankly, I don't see the hardship in wearing a mask, so if someone wants to add mask wearing to things like washing hands to reduce their chance of getting the flu or of getting a non-deadly version of Covid - as the vaccines do not entirely remove your risk of getting sick but do have a very high efficacy in keeping you from getting very sick - I don't see the issue with that.

SF. Walked on sidewalks without a mask (mostly) these past few days. Went to a couple of newly re-opened indoor bars. On my walks I would say 40-60 masks to no masks. Two weeks ago I would have said 95-5.

Maybe this is just me, but instead of paying for a fake vax card, I would either...

a) just get the effing free vaccine and then not get or contribute to the spread of COVID, or...
b) boast about not getting the vaccine and actively not patronize anywhere that required it

Almost certainly "a", seeing as that's what I did, but why pay for the fake card? Again, that's just me.

1. To be able to attend classes at certain schools if you are a student;
2. To be able to go into the office to work if your employer requires workers to be vaccinated;

You also have to be super dumb to get conned into paying $20 for a vaccine card when you can print it out for free or just grab it from your local pharmacy. Anyone with a pulse can find the official CDC template on the internet because Tennessee thinks making it available to the public is a good idea.
