A few months ago, I listened to Larry Charles' audiobook memoir.
It's really good.
If you don't know who Larry Charles is, he was a writer on ABC's early 1980s SNL knockoff Fridays. That's where he met Larry David and Michael Richards.
Charles would become one of the key writers on Seinfeld, winning an Emmy or two.
He then went on to become showrunner of Mad About You.
Then he became showrunner of Entourage.
Then director of Curb Your Enthusiasm's first 5 or 6 seasons.
Then he teamed up with Sacha Baron Cohen and directed the movie Borat.
Then he directed two more movies with Cohen.
Nowhere in his memoir, as far as I remember, did he mention that he co-created a UPN show that lasted two seasons (from 1999-2000) called Dilbert. His other co-creator was Scott Adams.
It's really good.

Went to Oakland Tech. Pretty sure he didn't overlap there with Leon Powe or Marshawn. Possibly with Clint Eastwood, though.

My childhood home is right there, half of it burned down in the fire. Parents still live there now

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said Johnson was pronounced dead Wednesday morning after being found unconscious. His death was ruled a homicide and is being investigated. Johnson was 55.
A fourth-round draft pick by New England in 1993, Johnson spent time with the Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders before landing with the Eagles. He had 43 tackles and seven sacks and returned a fumble for a touchdown in two years with Philadelphia. He played 15 games for the Raiders in 1997.
Kevin Johnson played in 38 career games over three seasons with the Eagles and Raiders.
Johnson later played in the Arena Football League for Orlando and Los Angeles. The Los Angeles native played collegiately at Texas Southern.
Investigators believe Johnson had been living at the encampment at the time of his death. Friends said Johnson had health issues later in life that contributed to his situation.
