PRESIDENT TRUMP KILLING GLOBAL TRADE.

Trump terminated the "de minimus" tax exemption rule on imported packages to the U.S. under $800.

The exemption was created back in 1938. It allows low-value packages to enter the U.S. duty-free. That exemption was terminated by Trump and went into effect last Friday.

In 2024, over 92% of all cargo entering the U.S. (1.3 billion packages worth over $64 Billion) arrived through the de minimus exemption.

DHL, Royal Mail, and other European carriers are suspending shipments to the U.S. as they try to prepare for the end of the "de minimus" exemption. DHL said Deutsche Post and DHL Parcel will no longer be able to accept and transport parcels destined for the U.S.

Customers will still be able to ship goods via DHL Express, which is obviiously more expensive.

Of course, you wont see a post like this from the usual TRUMPANZEES.
They're too stupid.

Yes, we must take draconian measures to the 99.999% of normal commerce packages to prevent the 0.001% of packages arriving with fentanyl.
