Crypto Rover cited $50 million in shorts being covered over a month ago.

May 21st, 2025.

This short-covering caused a spike in Bitcon from $68,500 to $71,200
I would suggest that it was an excellent cover given that Bitcoin is currently trading at $105,500.

it is according to Watcher.Guru, which is clearly evident in his post.

Still "stalking" me and following me around Captain Obvious?

Or are you just super impressed with an unsupported "tweet" from an outfit called "Watcher Guru."
lol

Looks like another "safeguard" just got thrown out the window.

The Fed board voted 5-2 on Wednesday to propose changes to what's known as the enhanced supplementary leverage ratio, which applies to the largest US bankslike Bank of America, JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs. The revisions would reduce holding companies' capital requirement under the ratio to a range of 3.5% to 4.5% from the current 5%. Their banking subsidiaries would see that requirement lowered to the same range from 6%.

It's probably disappointing for you since California regulations make you pay much higher prices at the pump.

California regulations affect Oregon's gas prices. Oregon imports gas from Washington (mostly) and California. Obviously, Oregon and Washington have their own regulations. Oregon does not have its own refineries.

Gas Prices:
Texas: 2.82/gal
Oregon: 4.06/gal
California: $4.62/gal

1. I drive about 5-6K miles per year, so gas prices aren't overly stressful for me.

2. I buy enough stuff from Safeway to get $1 per gallon off each time I fill up (about once a month). I'm actually paying slightly less than the Texas price. I'd be spending the same money at Safeway without gas rewards anyway, so not much added cost there.

Nice job. Since you are so frugal, you must live in your mother's basement. After all, you don't spend $9.89 for a dozen eggs, right? SARCASM

Well, if you can call someone who spends $1000 per month at Safeway frugal...

I do spend $11 for a carton of 18 eggs though, so that's $8 per dozen. Maybe not so frugal there either.

My mother's been dead for over 30 years now and we sold her home during the 20th Century. My wife and I did buy our own home, for which we finished paying off the mortgage early a few years ago. I guess I'm frugal enough for that.

Why is that acceptable here?
Why does our "mascot" get a free pass for such behavior?

PCE gained 0.1% in May matching the rise in April.

In the 12-months through May, PCE inflation increased 2.3% after climbing 2.2% in April.

In the 12-months through May, Core PCE (excluding food and energy) was up 2.7% after rising 2.6% in April

Notice how hard it is to find this news on media websites? Would be top of the page if a Democrat were President. That's how the propaganda works.

Incomes were down in May because most retroactive Social Security payments from Biden's Social Security Fairness Act, passed in 2024, were paid out in March and April. Didn't stop the magats from taking credit for Biden's increase last month. Now the predictable decrease (return to normalcy) is disappeared. Our media is a disaster.

Elon Musk Trump Senate bill

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/28/elon-musk-trump-senate-bill.html

"Elon Musk ripped into the Senate's massive domestic policy package on Saturday, calling it "utterly insane" and destructive," pointing to provisions in the bill that would raise taxes on many solar, battery, geothermal, wind and nuclear energy projects.

"The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!" Musk wrote on X, the social network that he owns.

"Utterly insane and destructive. It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future," he continued, hours before the Senate was poised to hold a key vote on the package.

The bill would also create a new subsidy for coal that's used for the production of steel."

I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore, but it is pretty amazing that Trump won on the promise of lowering costs and now his big bill is about to raise energy costs on everyone.

As a huckster salesman, once Trump had your cash banked, he didn't give a sh@it if you figured out the sting. It was too late. As a politician, once he has your vote, you can "suck on this!"

Do you realize the level of reaming the MAGAs on this board would have to be the recipient of before they realize, like Trump University enrollees came to realize, that they done been had?

Consensus guess for non farm payroll jobs in JUNE is 125,000

But hiven the surge in retirements, you can actually make the case we don't need more jobs, we need more workers.

The labor participation rate is historically low at 62.4%.

But for the prime working age cohort, its near a record high of 83%.

Or maybe the impact has been blunted by all of the front-loading of imports before the levies hit, or the use of bonded warehouses and foreign trade zones (a very interesting read) which can delay tariff payments until goods enter the U.S, or temporary cost absorption by importers , or lags in measuring tariff pass-throughs, and absorption of costs by exporters (like Porsche thus far).
