The Fed's mandate is for 2% inflation.
We are significantly above that directive.
And as I noted, the survey of consumer's inflation expectations for the next 12 months by the Conference Board is now up at 6.2%
These are numbers that the Fed and Jerome Powell find most concerning.
These inflationary expectations have been growing and and their "trend" cannot be dismissed.
