If you're going to use Costco as an example, you need to factor in the annual membership costs.

Gas is nearly $5 a gallon here in Oregon.
It was about $3.50 in the Carolinas a few days ago.

Those numbers will look cheap a week from now.

I'm almost to St Louis, driving from Portland to Charlotte. The least expensive gas we have seen is $3.11. Most flyover country gas has been a number that starts with a 3.

Make sure you get flood insurance.
Hurricane Helene caused massive flooding in 2024.

I paid $6.39 a few days ago. In some perverse way, this is actually funny.

Blockading the Strait of Hormuz for "2-3 weeks" will be hilarious!

Countries "buying their gas from the United States of America because we have plenty" ought to be a real knee-slapper! The question is, how high will it get to the point where I stop laughing?

I stopped laughing sometime in the Biden Administration when the Ukraine War pushed gas above $5 a gallon the first time.

If it's the end of this month and you still haven't started laughing yet, maybe I will recount the famous "Lindsey Graham, Laura Loomer and Eric Swalwell are on a lifeboat..." joke. It is guaranteed to get even the dourest among us to guffaw like Kamala Harris... or your money back.

And sorry but I'm saving my "Jared Kushner, Lauren Boebert and Howard Lutnick walk into a bar..." joke for next year.

The only politically related laughs I've had in the last ten years are when Nikki Haley dropped out of the 2024 Republican Primary and when Kamala lost (most deserved loss ever). It seems doubtful that the Democrats learned anything from that loss, as their message has not changed one iota since then despite a few Democrats being very successful with far better platforms than anything the Democrats are currently offering as a party.

I read that Ms. Harris replied, "I'm thinking about it" when asked if she's considering running in 2028. Naturally, I checked the source to see if maybe I was reading The Onion or something. Nope. And, of course, whoever wrote the article felt compelled to mention that she would be the first woman President, the first African American President and the first Asian American President.

Only way I would vote for again is if...a) she somehow got the nomination and... b) I had moved to a swing state. (Yes, I know that wouldn't be enough to get your vote but I am one of those liberal Democrats. Lesser of two evils.)

She had her chance. Too bad for her if there may have been unusual campaign circumstances, but I saw all I needed to see.

Blame Gavy and the dems for shutting down a large part of production in California

" The state was once a major oil producer, but in recent years it has become more dependent on crude and fuel imports as two refineries accounting for approximately 20% of California's refining capacity have closed. Its crude oil inventories stood at 10.09 million barrels, down more than 23% from a year earlier, according to the CEC."

Its great to see the U.S. exporting so much crude oil overseas... so that oil companies can make a TON of money while the U.S. consumer gets raped at the pump.

We are on pace for a record 5 million barrels per day being exported overseas.

Thank You President Trump!
Trump voters love bending over at the pump.

Dumbest Voters in my Lifetime.
They love paying MORE FOR EVERYTHING!

Yeah, the disconnect is massive.

The physical market is terribly imbalanced.
The financial oil markets have a more balanced mix of buyers and sellers right now.

Dated Brent oil for actual physical delivery in 10 to 30 days out, is trading around $125 while Brent futures for the nearest delivery settled at $94.79 a barrel on Tuesday.

Sellers in the futures market include oil producers, which were relatively under hedged before the conflict locking in future prices.

Like the stable genius says often .... no one's ever seen anything like this in the history of the world, before!

You mean that my big tax return from the Big Beautiful bill is going in to be eaten up by tariffs and increased gas prices? You can't make this up, we are in the upside down place.
