When is the wave of Afrikaner immigrants going to break Derek Chauvin out of the hoosegow?
While George Floyd was robbing pregnant women, Chauvin served as a US Army Reservist. He then became a decorated police officer, earning two medals of valor and two commendation medals
Chauvin followed exact police training and the official training manual, which weren't allowed in his trial.
Derek Chauvin had a 19-year career with the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) that was marked by numerous misconduct complaints, use-of-force incidents, and involvement in fatal encounters.
Prior to his conviction for the murder of George Floyd, Chauvin accumulated a record that drew heavy scrutiny for excessive force:
Misconduct Complaints
Complaint History: Over his nearly two-decade career, Chauvin was the subject of at least 18 to 22 internal affairs complaints and conduct investigations.
Discipline: Despite the volume of complaints, only one resulted in formal disciplinary action (a letter of reprimand) prior to 2020.
Prior Use-of-Force IncidentsSeveral notable incidents prior to the death of George Floyd showcased Chauvin's repeated use of neck restraints and physical force:
2017 Arrest of a 14-Year-Old: Chauvin struck a 14-year-old Black boy in the head with a flashlight and pinned him to the ground using his knee on the boy's neck/back for roughly 17 minutes. The teenager repeatedly stated he could not breathe.
2016 Domestic Call: Chauvin restrained a man by placing his hands around the man's neck, applying pressure, and forcing him backward onto the sidewalk.
Paramedics were called when the man complained of asthma.
2015 Domestic Call: Chauvin responded to an incident where he pushed a man against a wall, applied a neck restraint, and held the man face-down after he was handcuffed.
2020 Incident: Chauvin and a partner were accused of forcefully yanking a woman from her vehicle, throwing her to the ground, and pinning her with a knee to her back.
Involvement in ShootingsChauvin was involved in at least three separate shooting incidents during his career:
2006 Standoff: Chauvin was one of six officers who fired 43 rounds into a truck driven by Wayne Reyes, a suspect in a domestic assault who allegedly aimed a sawed-off shotgun at them. Reyes was killed, and the grand jury did not indict the officers.
*As I have stated here many times, my grandfather was one of OPD's finest. I am very supportive of the police.
Not everyone is suited to be police. Chauvin is one of them. Floyd was no saint. He didn't need to die that day.
…..and history is littered with brave soldiers and cops that became murderers.
