Cant wait for Trump and Vice President FUsk to start cutting staff at the Social Security Administration, where staffing is already operating at a 50 year low.

Come on DOGE!

Start making drastic cuts to Social Security staff so 72 MILLION American's wont get their monthly checks on time.

Let's Goooooooooooooo!!!

Yeah, let's run the country with no revenue. That will cut the deficit to zero in no time!

P.S. Maybe folks like you are also worried DOGE will refund 20% of DOGE savings to citizens? Let's say DOGE cuts $400 Billion, and there are 150 million taxpayers, each person would get a check for $533? Might help the GOP in the midterms.

Youre hysterical.
You live in a FANTASY WORLD.

No taxpayer is going to get any DOGE "savings" given that the country is $36 Trillion in debt.

$1 Trillion.
The National Debt is $36 Trillion.
That's a cut of a whole 2.77%

You've been duped again.
Shocker.

Since it's such a piddly reduction does that mean you are only offended by the manner in which the cuts are being made, and not the cuts themselves?

The DOGE cuts are nothing but a "side-show".

DOGE, and by extension, Elno's de facto authority as token PM, or whatever unelected bureaucrat title they want to give him, is all just bread and circuses for the MAGA cult members.

When you see a guy here on this message board actually think that the taxpayer could be getting checks back in the mail for $533 - - - it really makes one wonder what kind of "meds" they are on or if they are just that terribly ignorant and/or NAIVE.

It's hard to fathom that some of these people posting here that consistently drink the Orange Kool-Aid actually went to college, let alone a place like Cal.

If you really believed the DOGE bull**** then 100% of the "savings" should be returned to taxpayers not returned to the government where it will be used to offset another trillion or so of tax cuts. This is just a libertarian hit job on enemies.

Liberals have shown zero interest in wanting the money returned. They kind of want the government to spend and abuse it.

I'm sure I can come up with a 100 pages or so about what I did last week. They can put it with the 2,000,000+ other reports that'll never get read by the 100 or so people on the DOGE team. What a waste of government workers time.

Agreed, but I've received the email, so I'll have set aside some time to deal with it Monday. They were smart enough to ask for a few bullet points (no long replies), no classified information and dropped the bit about a failure to reply = resignation.

They are just yanking our chain again because they can. I'm debating whether I should translate it into Swahili before submitting it.

I am reminded of the scene from Office Space.

No way they can review 2.1 million (or whatever the number of employees is) of these responses in short order. But not a good time to be a middle manager that is in meetings and managing staff. Also not a good idea to take this flippantly. Reply on time, how they say and with specifics.

Middle managers and non-responders are in trouble - they make very easy targets.

It looks like they just want 5 bullet points. No one is going to read them all, it'll just be scanned by software.

Oh, I made jokes about 100 pages in Swahili but I'll submit 5 bullet points as requested pending further guidance by my bosses. I just want to work a few more years before retiring and I don't want to job hunt in an environment full of similarly skilled people that have also been deemed to not fit staffing priorities. This email is not a hill I'm going take a stand on. Besides, my bullets are really good for last week.

My middle manager has looked at the environment and that the proposed budget in Congress will cut retirement benefits by 5-10% and decided to get out now. So, he's retiring at the end of March.

I'd keep a list and have ChatGPT do it.
I already keep a list of my accomplishments that I update monthly. My boss asks for it when doing my performance evaluation every 6 months. Since they want a few bullet points, I'll just do it myself. I haven't used AI enough to trust what my input might generate.

The idea is to keep it short and with 5-or-less bullet points in the unlikely event that Trump asks to read one or two. Personally, if I had to do this, I would be sure to include the word "Country" (yes, with that upper-case "C"): Maybe Trump reads mine, is super-impressed with my writing skills, and pretty soon I'm heading up half the government.

Recalls are quite common, especially larger recalls of top selling vehicles. Treating a recall like it is some Tesla only thing is absurd.

I guess you havent noticed that Tesla has had more than their share of RECALLS.

Given your knowledge base when it comes to gasoline, I'm not all that confident in you being a "car" guy.

Tesla had 15 recalls in 2024, affecting more than 5.1 million vehicles, notes Carscoops. This makes Tesla the most recalled auto brand in 2024, surpassing Ford.

Your reply is irrelevant to my comment, and your personal attack is childish. As for your new contention that they are recalled more than other brands, it is for minor things that are fixed by over the air updates. Owners don't even have to take their cars in at all. Most aren't even aware of these and they are fixed automatically.

Nearly half the Tesla recalls are for a font size:

"The largest [Tesla] recall affected 2,193,869 cars for an incorrect font size on warning lights."

You aren't objective at all.

I guess I missed the part where you mentioned that:

The printed circuit board for the electronic power steering assist may become overstressed, causing a loss of power steering assist when the vehicle reaches a stop and then accelerates again, the agency said.

The loss of power could require more effort to control the car by drivers, particularly at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

Oh wait.
You never bothered to mention it because it didn't support your false narrative.

BOOM!
