I've mentioned many times in the past that I work for the federal government. Since DOGE made it's clumsy uninformed efforts, 40% of my coworkers have been shown the door and everyone left is working much harder to try and make up the slack (which isn't possible). Services have deteriorated and the US public is less safe.
