Interesting day in the markets. The stock market is like an immature youth on drugs but the bond market is more of a mature adult. The Trump / China tariff announcement seems to have green lit a stock selloff (at least for the day) but to me what is interesting is the money seems to have moved to the bond market which has had a big rally. This is not a tariff / inflationary trade - this is an economic weakness / flight to safety trade. (at least for the day).

Yeah a lot of what Reich supports is trash, but noticing that the US has become an oligarchy is a relevant observation.

The even more important aspect of the wealth imbalance is that most of the debt under the Fed system is owned by billionaires, a lot of it can and should just be written off.
