The woke right people all voted for Cuomo anyway, so there would have been no benefit to that. If anything Mamdani's wife was an asset, to his campaign they look like a very happy couple, and she's pretty cool and NY/Brooklyn stylish, her persona doesn't jibe with the tiresome woke right sharia spiel.
