The top 20 most dangerous counties in the U.S. are mostly (all?) plurality black counties in the South or border states. Jim Crow only ended in our parent's lifetimes. White America is to blame for the situation these communities are in.

We owe investment in these communities. Unfortunately, usually the opposite happens when white dominated state governments allocate funds to counties. Certainly black cities in Southern states are typically underfunded by the state. Public education is also underfunded as more wealthy and white families frequently opt to gut public investment and choose private education.

Students in SFUSD ($24,000 per year) and Oakland ($20K -$26K) are well funded, but test scores typically remain disastrous, and we didn't have Jim Crow or slavery. Well, Democrat planning did destroy the Fillmore District. Many districts have 20% or less of students passing basic proficiency tests. And Democrat policies help destroy the nuclear Black family.

Between $15 - $22 Trillion have been spent on the War on Poverty.

Mississippi has enacted new education structure and strategies enlisting "reading experts" and mandatory reading by third grade - no social promotion. Lower grades have seen marked improvement.

China gathered mostly publicly available voter data and then didn't really do anything with it. That was the assessment of Trump's DNI head John Ratcliffe. Trump likes Ratcliffe so much that he is now Trump's head of CIA. If what you say is true, Trump would immediately fire Ratcliffe and more.

Recall Kamala Harris comeback political victory in California. Then, Clyburn inserting her into Biden's ticket.

You are right on the money on this. This is a local political issue, and best solved by local politicians elected by voters of that city, in the case of San Francisco, and voters in the state, in the case of Mississippi. The Mayor of San Francisco is a Democrat, as are the folks who run the San Francisco School District and their agenda. They will hire teachers who will teach their agenda. They are mostly all Democrats or leftists. San Francisco has not had a Republican Mayor since George Christopher who left in 1964. That is 62 years. It did not take that long for Democrats to render SF public schools irrelevant. They have been that way for some time. San Francisco Republican Voters now represent only 6% of all our registered voters. Is it any wonder our schools would be inefficient and ineffective?

Mississippi, on the other hand, has been run by a Republican Governor since 2004 and a Republican Legislature for 18 years, I believe, which means that the wishes of the State's voters are now being listened to and acted on accordingly.

There is much more wrong with San Francisco, and I don't think Democrats are up to the task of fixing it. I hope Mississippi Republican officials continue to listen to their voters. It sounds like they are heading in a good direction.

Both parties really just lean on a "we're not the other guys" message which only goes so far and leaves space wide open for a relative outsider to come along and galvanize the voter base.

I'm not sure the above is true. I feel like the Dems, in general (and compared to the GOP), stand for...

+ taking proactive steps to fight climate change / enviro-challenges, even at some cost to corporate profits
+ more government services (health care, education, etc.) for everyone and taxing wealthier Americans to pay for it
+ tolerance for all people (not just white, Christian, heterosexuals)

Significant differences between the two parties, IMO, and I 'm comparing Dems to "Classic GOP", not just MAGA.

Yes, just because media has ignored what Dems stand for since the Hillary campaign doesn't mean it isn't there.

The Dems have shown with their inaction how fine they are with "nothing fundamentally will change." The sycophants can pretend otherwise, but regular folks can see the truth.

After checking, I found that yes, the woman is from Hong Kong, who ostensibly came here to study. Wants to help more non-citizen immigrants to vote. I wonder if she has a valid visa. Or if that even matters.
