The Dem party basically stands for nothing, other than Trump is the Devil. People typically need an affirmative reason to support a person / party. There is a reason the DSA is surging - their ideas may be socialist crap but at least they have definite things they believe in. For a long time this was my take on the right with Trump - he's not really an R and he can be a nutter but he gave people reasons to support him.

+ taking proactive steps to fight climate change / enviro-challenges, even at some cost to corporate profits
+ more government services (health care, education, etc.) for everyone and taxing wealthier Americans to pay for it
+ tolerance for all people (not just white, Christian, heterosexuals)
Significant differences between the two parties, IMO, and I 'm comparing Dems to "Classic GOP", not just MAGA.
