The cold hard truth ... this is problem

That's former ASUC president Irami Osei-Frimpong, who was forced to resign amid scandal in 1998.

Child porn or Rape ?

I believe it was because he spent a lot of money for a Foo Fighters concert that didn't happen. Or something like that. Unfortunately, the Daily Cal -- which went online in 1995 -- has none of its online articles still up from before mid-1999 so I can't recall what happened. But I knew Irami well, even before he made national news a few years back.

I agree w this. It's sad but I agree.

It should be this way for all rioters though, whether they are taking over the US Capitol while senators are deliberating a US election or at a Safeway that has a 2-for-1 deal on cantaloupes.

Yes, you would be justified for killing *anybody* who breaks into your home.

I remember a case in San Francisco in the mid-2000s where a drunken guy got off on the wrong floor and "broke" into what he thought was his apartment in the middle of the night. The resident of the apartment shot and killed him. The drunken guy's family called for the resident to be arrested, but he was justified.

I would hope that this means that the terrorists will receive some actual punishment for their actions. Also, Trump killed a cop.

The I.Q. of the Trump Terrorist cannot be high as evidenced by their posting of pictures of themselves on the Senate or House floors, in the offices of individual congress members, and the interviews that they gave to media while committing crimes. The aforementioned will be used by the federal authorities to match the names to the faces and then be charged with federal crimes. It looks like Social Media sucked the intelligence out of these idiots.
That is not an IQ issue.

The cop who killed George Floyd kneeled on his neck for 8 minutes in a crowd of witnesses who were filming him and it never occurred to him that he might get in trouble. Not because he is stupid. Because people like him never get in trouble.

The Trump terrorists did those things because it doesn't occur to them that they will get in trouble. Why should it? They never have. The fact that they were treated with such kid gloves and were allowed to breach the Capitol without at minimum having a lot of busted heads, tear gas, and at maximum having to face gunfire when they threatened our elected leaders tells you what you need to know. The fact that they are not in jail already, arrested at the scene tells you what you need to know. They didn't expect to get in trouble because they don't get in trouble. Basically law enforcement had to fail, go home, watch the news, realize it went too far, realize people were angry, think about it for a while, and then say - maybe we should do something about this and arrest some people.

Yes, the terrorists probably (hopefully) read this particular incident wrong because they finally went so far that there may be consequences. But their behavior is the result of reading every situation right in the past and having no consequences.

When you have film of a guy killing protestors in Kenosha and jogging passed police with a gun while people yell to stop him and the police do nothing and authorities have to think about it for a day before they think maybe they should do something, what do you think these people about consequences? How do you argue they are wrong?

Liberals and minorities get arrested ahead of time because they might break a window. Conservatives occasionally get arrested after the fact if they commit murder or terrorism. Occasionally.

Their behavior has everything to do with the expectation that has been set by society.
You will get no argument from me that the lack of consequences has emboldened these individuals. Time and time again we have seen an uneven application of the law in these situations.

We need to investigate this series of events fully. Benghazi had like what - 11 congressional investigations? What happened in DC yesterday (and could happen again) is a far bigger breach of our national security. A few thousand conspiracy theory guzzling idiots managed to take over our capitol. More people died than in Benghazi. We are an international laughing stock. Contrast this to how prepared the government was during BLM protests, the million woman march or any other protest. This was not some top secret ambush - it was widely known and our government chose to expose itself. We need to know who chose to leave our capitol defenseless against an insurrection of dunces.

For you personal injury attorneys: Can the heirs of the deceased officer fashion a colorable claim for negligence in a wrongful death action against Rudy Giuliani for fomenting violence with his "trial by combat" statement?

At least file it and see if it survives a summary judgment motion.

US Capitol Police officer has died following pro-Trump riot - CNNPolitics

https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/07/politics/capitol-police-officer-dead-after-riot/index.html

Since posting my comment I found this. Yes, the language used by tRump was more direct, but I think the cop's heirs have a shot at tRump and Rudy:

https://dolanlawfirm.com/2017/04/president-civil-lawsuit/

"The federal judge denied the motion. The judge held that the plaintiffs adequately alleged that President Trump's statement constituted an incitement to the crowd to commit violence."

The video of the shooting that I saw didn't show any sign of Pence, Representatives or Senators. A mostly empty hallway aside from the agent with his gun drawn and some other cops well down the hallway. The perp just decided to be the first one over the barricade. Past wars have made it abundantly clear that the first ones over the top have a short life expectancy. I'm sorry she died, but she brought it on herself and it was not surprising given the circumstances.
