We work with what we are given. And given a choice between Trump and Harris, I will pick Harris. Not thrilled about it but better than picking Biden at his current age.
It's no surprise that you would vote for someone considered the most liberal [read: far left] Senator in 2019.
Why am I sitting here wasting my evening listening to this entirely unremarkable person try to spit out some concept she memorized that her handlers though would sound good? Which is offensive in content… to suggest that outcomes should be equal. Good God. **** her.
While we can certainly quibble with aspects of what she's saying, the fact that you are so vehemently opposed to discussing it tells me you have received considerably more than the median in life.
Congratulations!
Humility and gratitude are lovely attributes.
Tom, to be serious for a moment, I've studied and worked far harder in my life than has the average person. I remember clearly all the jerk offs back in high school who wouldn't study and would **** around all day. Many of them are now working at Big O Tire for $35,000 a year. Would Kamala, if she had a chance, redistribute a large part of my income to Mr. Big O Tire in the name of equal outcomes? You better believe she would.
I respect your intelligence and your hard work. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the growing wealth and income disparities that exist in this country.
Do you think this growing divide is a positive for our national harmony?
What do you think are causes and ramifications of widening socioeconomic disparities?
I'll engage in that discussion all day long, because this is, essentially, the national prosperity, is it not?
For the record, just so you know, I am a privileged white person who is the son of two sets of families who say they are "self made", but the more I look at it, they were in the right place in the right time, born with the best IQ's, with families that pushed them through the right doors, and they had the right skin color. Now, certainly, some of that is going to lead to a certain amount of inequality. But I've seen plenty of ditch diggers who work much harder and will never sniff what comes so easily.
My point is… a certain amount of it is systemic. Do you disagree? Or do you think it all comes down to your hard work.
It's okay to be honest (with yourself) and vulnerable here. You are entirely anonymous. That's the beauty of BI!
