Well, I had said "left to center", not "left wing". If anything, I think she will lean towards the center.

I had to be honest there. I couldn't lie and say, "Vice President Harris has a cohesive ideology to build a stronger, more prosperous America in a safer world!" I just don't believe that.

She could be a pretty good President. Trump is a walking, breathing red flag. And that's where we're at.
I was an "anyone but Hillary" voter so I'm not trying to change your mind. I do find it humorous though to think Harris will be anything but Crazy Left. That's okay...when you are in the "anybody but X" mode that's the type of thing you get.

Matt Taibbi and Yogi will tell you that Harris will govern from the Right Center pursuant to the Vote for the Lesser of Two Evils Theory:

"The next little thing about this vote-for-the-lesser-evil trick, of course and this is no secret to anyone any more is that it drives all the "serious" candidates toward what is commonly referred to as the "moderate center," even if these serious candidates aren't, in fact, moderate or centrist in any meaningful sense and the so-called center moves further to the right with each election cycle. For nearly two decades now this process has been steadily advancing on the Democratic side, as liberals are trained to accept the idea that the national majority will never accept a true labor party, or any candidate perceived as "soft" on defense."

I don't see her as being "crazy left". even less so were she to occupy the White House. Honestly, I think she would espouse any views from the center to the left that she felt would help her in the polls. When I think of "crazy left", I think of "defund the police" and "from the river to the sea", that sort of bs. I don't think that's her because it wouldn't play.

For recent examples: I think of Clinton and Obama as two politicians who greatly tempered their natural progressivism, in order to get things done and be reelected.

Even if Harris wins, it's likely to be a narrowly Republican Senate so there will be plenty of limits on what she could do.

Interesting. I never perceived bill clinton as progressive. That whole Blue Dog / new Dem thing. Agree with your characterization of Obama.

I think Clinton, if omnipotent, would have been much further to the left. Instead, he was what he had to be, to get elected in Arkansas and nationwide. JMO

Republicans currently have a narrow majority in the Senate but that didn't prevent Biden from creating the greatest illegal immigration crisis in our country's history while his DOJ was trying to imprison his main political opponent.

Kama Kamaleon did another softball interview with liberal sanewashing network MSDNC last night.

Even noted Biden and Democrat apologist Stephanie Ruhle admits though that Kamala doesn't answer questions.

That was kind of embarrassing because Ruhle had just been on Bill Maher last Friday night, gushing over Kamala Harris and criticizing the other member of the panel who thought it was a reasonable request that VP Harris make herself more available to answer questions from the press.

Very interesting.
I was recently in competitive Carolina for a week and have been noodling on the advertisements (especially D ads) seen there and back home in Oregon.

First, we are now seeing more ads in Oregon. There is a nearby competitive Congressional race but it still seems really odd given the state is as Blue as Blue gets.

Second, there are 3 themes:
1. The Republican - whoever it is - is maga extremist
2. Abortion, abortion, abortion
3. "I have voted for Republicans before but not this time"

If you take a deeply unpopular stance on a hot button issue like abortion, you have to expect the Democrats to jump all over it. Nothing surprising there.

The secret service takes no chances. Bluetooth earbuds could be intercepted. Unplugging wired headphones is next level espionage protection.

Everyone knows that only Republicans have nothing better to do than to participate in polls, so it may not be as close as being reported.

The media is acting like boxing promoters that have a mismatch on their hands and in order to "build up the gate" they talk up the knockout power the underdog has.

In the absence of the election being rigged, Harris may landslide him. It may turn out tRump's time would have been better spent planning Insurrection Redux.

My prediction: Election rigged. tRump "wins."

*If the election turns out to be legit and close, tRump's Rubber Stamp SCOTUS will award its patron with a W by twisting the law and the facts into a balloon animal supporting its decision.

At this point the spectrum runs from Donold barely wins to Vice President Harris wins a blowout.

Between Harris and Clinton they are 4-0 in debates against Donold. Clinton got more votes against Donold. Unfortunately in the stupid Electoral College Clinton could not overcome the daily repetitive attacks from the media and the late attack from the FBI.

I watched the 60 Minutes interview last night and I thought VP Harris did pretty well. (and I am happy to say otherwise, when warranted) Yes, it is rather disturbing the lengths that the candidates go to to avoid answering the questions that are asked, but it seems like they're all doing that more and more.

If anything, what she did during the interview (combined with Trump blowing it off) probably helped her a tiny bit. Didn't hurt anyway.

I think this election is going to be all about voter turnout.
