When someone clearly is posting TROLL type posts with no real interest in genuinely engaging . . . then a forum like this winds up losing any kind of opportunity to add value.

Sadly, the moderators of this Forum don't have an issue with this.

It's pretty clear that he has an impulsively pugilistic disposition and posting pattern. The great majority of his posts had little or no content and were more like verbal schoolyard tussles. He used to have long, repetitive tussles with the late Blueblood way back when, but while Blueblood matured a bit with age, AunBear did not. He kept at it despite having received several temporary bans.

You have a tendency to blow off your lid from time to time, but most of your posts have content, often interesting and informative material derived from your practical experience as a trader. AunBear on the other hand made virtually no effort to engage in real conversations, he is here primarily for the cyber bar brawls with the "other camp", a behavioral pattern which I would imagine can get taxing for the mods.

Free trade can be dangerous, and tariffs can be counterproductive, trade should be managed on a case by case basis.

For example, if we had free trade with China in the auto sector, the entire automotive sector in the US would be wiped out in a decade or two, max. See the TV and consumer electronics market. You have to weigh advantages from importing cheaper products with negative externalities (loss of high paying jobs in an industry with very high multiplier effects).

I would let in some Chinese manufacturers setting up shop and supliers in the US or going into JVs with domestic partners, best of both worlds, same as what is done with Japanese companies.
