You dont think a 31 year EMS veteran and former Chief of EMS Operations can lead FDNY? Of course she can. You are just a bigot.

Should the head of nurses become the head of doctors? Like nurses and doctors, firefighters and EMT aren't the same. Firefighters are trained in EMS but EMT aren't trained to fight fires.

Of course the EMS Chief of Operations can run the Fire Department.

Now show me your criticism of truly unqualified people like Pete Hegseth

Hegseth was commissioned as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army National Guard after graduating from Princeton University in 2003. He participated in a number of active-duty deployments during his time in service, including operations in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan. Hegseth also served in multiple staff positions in the National Guard.

Hegseth's military awards include two Bronze Star Medals, the Joint Commendation Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) and the Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB). He has authored five books, including the New York Times best-seller The War on Warriors (2024).

While all the above is true, he still isn't a great pick for Secretary of Defense.

With her executive level experience running EMS in NYC, the new head of FDNY is more qualified to run the Dept of Defense than Pete Hegseth

Well that's entirely laughable, unless you're good with sending EMTs out with guns and tanks.

Fire departments have little to do with fighting fires despite what fire people say

Going from one corp to another is the same field in my opinion. Going from EMT to War is not.

His hand is mostly cut out of frame, but you can tell that it is not aligned with his arm, and that his palm is turned up, his hand opening and closing waving to the crowd. If his entire hand was visible this tweet wouldn't be a thing.

You're easily manipulated (pun intended, if you get the etymology) .

Palm does not look turned up to me and I don't see him opening and closing it at all. Find a video to prove it or he's definitely a Nazi

Please turn your hand palm up and open and close your hand while waving as you so described he's doing. Why would he be doing a "come here" motion with his whole hand?

You also know I'm being sarcastic with the original post?

While Mamdani is critical of Trump and Maduro's removal, Venezuelans in NYC are celebrating.

Median home price in NYC is $900,000. Adams is a decade or two out of date here.

Also, it's too bad Adams never confronted corruption, being the most corrupt NYC mayor in decades. I am surprised you support that kind of political scumbag.

Do annoying liberals bother you more than corrupt sleazebag politicians? Because those are the kind of aides the previous mayoral administration had:

First off when did I support Adams?

Secondly, she's hardly just an annoying liberal. She's a self hating white woman that speaks from privilege about how awful white people are. The quotes from her are absolutely stupid and dangerous

All these people that hate New Yorkers are suddenly so concerned for them. Places like New York subsidize red America.

Adams was the mayor of NYC just a week ago, you've posted recycled hits on Mamdani, but nothing about Adams.

Where are the aide's quotes taken from and how are they "dangerous".

Never heard about this person because I don't waste my time with NY Post low-grade "owning the libs" slop.

The NYP article is painting her as some kind of a deranged uberprivileged woman, but her mother's house looks pretty ordinary.

The irony that you're not grasping here is that Mamdani's detractors that are feeding you this infoslop are bona fide modern robber baron oligarchs that epitomize a lot of the dysfunctionality of late stage capitalism. They have you rooting against people who are trying to make things better for the average resident in a city where the median rent is over $4K.

The point they are making is that she has criticized home ownership as white privilege and a form/function of white supremacy. They are calling her a hypocrite.

I don't believe a socialist society is better for the people. Appreciate the response
