There is a growing body of evidence that COVID has morphed into something that is now benign. See the example of genetic isolation from the patient in Hong Kong who is the first example of confirmed person to catch CoVId twice.

Despite this, Team Lockdown is still trying to drum up fear so that they can maintain their position of prominence. This is literally the first time anyone in the world cared about what epidemiologist think and now that COVID is no longer a big deal, these individuals can't stand it and are doing everything they can to maintain influence.

Can you please substantiate the growing body of evidence? Unfortunately there is a growing body of corpses piling up in the US that would indicate otherwise - still averaging more than 1k per day. We still have over 5k hospitalized COVID patients in California alone.

That doesn't happen with benign conditions.

By the way...this is literally what I've been saying for the past 5 months. Hospitals are incentivized to report any type of death as a COVID death even if the person died of something else because each COVID death brings in more money. Glad that the rest of the world, like the CDC and NY Times, is finally catching up to me.

Possible that the data hasn't been updated yet? Seems odd that it would drop to zero suddenly. Also, NBC LA reported 250+ cases for Sunday.

I also didn't realize that the reason OC wasn't on the watch list was because it was grandfathered in. Otherwise it seems like it's still purple tier under the new system. All that said, obviously things are trending in the right direction for OC at the moment which is great news. Hopefully they continue to go that way.

You mentioned OC before so that's what I was referring to.

Now you're talking about LA. If you want to compare numbers you should look at 7-day averages or at least comparable week over week analysis. Based on the way the numbers are reported, certain days frequently look light but aren't representative of the trend. So on 8/29 there were 1,271 cases but on 8/22 there were 1,623. On 8/30 there were 960 but on 8/23 there were 975. This is more of an apples to apples comparison. This certainly appears to be a part of a pronounced downward trend, but it's misleading to point to 2 consecutive days without context. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't trying to be misleading.

Here's a chart showing the 7-day average, which shows it's cut by more than half in the past month. I feel it's necessary to explain this because without the simple explanation, hankyPhD would likely jump to an obviously incorrect conclusion, as is his wont.

The original intent of this thread appears lost on you:

The protesters' actions clearly demonstrate that they think COVID is no big deal. So why do you attack and criticize people who SAY it, but not the people who act in a way that says it's no big deal?

As I have repeatedly state in this thread: it appears protesting against racial injustice gives one the magical ability of COVID immunity! Rioting and looting also gives you the added benefit of AIDS immunity! This is the only scientific explanation for what's going on!!!!
