To be clear, it isn't a cut of 5,000 officers - It is not going forward with Mayor Adams planned expansion of 5,000 officers. Mamdani inherited a huge budget deficit. This is good governance.

Funny story about Washington Square Park from when I was a grad student at NYU. When I walked through people would ask me if I wanted to buy weed. Except when I was wearing a suit. Then they'd ask if I wanted to buy cocaine.
