My daughter attended a NYTIMES summer camp this summer. They were hammer time on getting facts straight and employing proper practices in source verification.
I mean, there ARE serious journalists out there.
I like best what Marty Baron, former Editor in Chief of Boston Globe and Washington Post, said in an interview with Smerconish.
Please do me (and yourself) a favor and listen to this and digest how Baron explains the strategy of Trump in discrediting journalism so that only HE can be the arbiter of fact.
If he can insert doubt into your mind about what you're hearing/reading then there's a good chance you'll fall back on the loudest and most repeated bullhorn - and that's him.
I've heard some good social scientists discuss the manner by which people process information and (subconsciously) arrive upon conclusions.

IF the roommate is trans, it's not far fetched to ponder that Tyler and roommate were collectively incensed by Kirk's harsh, critical, insulting, offensive, hurtful language. And that Tyler made the horrible decision to respond with deadly violence.

The reason those broadcasters get fired is so the stations can pretend they're decent. I could not care less whether Matthew Dowd kept his job or not - they'll just replace him with some other never Trump Republican from the Bush administration like the rest of their commentators. I don't really care if Kilmeade loses his job either, though it would be better for him if the job for Secretary of Defense opened up first.
