Not that it really matters since they only care about crime in Chicago insofar as they can weaponize it for false equivalences with state sponsored killings.
I have never heard a progressive who is in favor of more crime in Chicago but you would think from the hysterical narratives spread by conservatives that somehow progressives do. Most progressives would like to see more done on gun control, particularly in Indiana where most of them originate, but everyone knows there is no appetite for reform there.
