DOGE says they've made $160 Billion in cuts.
An analyst says those cuts have cost the taxpayer $130 Billion.

"The analysis seeks to tally the costs associated with putting tens of thousands of federal employees on paid leave, re-hiring mistakenly fired workers and lost productivity, according to the Partnership for Public Service (PSP), a nonpartisan nonprofit that focuses on the federal workforce.

PSP's estimate is based on the $270 billion in annual compensation costs for the federal workforce, calculating the impact of DOGE's actions, from paid leave to productivity hits. The $135 billion cost to taxpayers doesn't include the expense of defending multiple lawsuits challenging DOGE's actions, nor the impact of estimated lost tax collections due to staff cuts at the IRS."

One-time costs. DOGE / Administration have reduced Federal headcount by 300-400K in a few months. Rubio to add 15K from State.

$84 Million to Chelsea Clinton - not Haiti? If so, will there be indictments?

President Trump has floated cutting the military budget in half. We'd likely see another attempt on his life for that.

Trump should be cutting but I think he plans on increasing the military budget.

EPIC FAIL by the TRUMP ADMINISTRATION to reign in Spending

For those who can't do basic math, 514 billion is less than 620 billion.

That is not very relevant to the current admin, which has promised all long to decrease spending. Wasn't that the whole idea of DOGE?

So, bringing up Biden's final quarter is really just deflection and whataboutism - rhetorical tools used by people who either don't have a very good position, or aren't very smart.

It may be a short-term move before new trade deals, tariffs, investments and GDP take off.

Welcome to Bear Insider. Let's look at the facts.

1) New president comes in promising to reduce spending and borrow less than previous administration.
2) New president gives aggressively low borrowing target.
3) For a variety of reasons, New president fails to meet his aggressive goal.

It is 100% relevant and logical to wonder if borrowing was reduced from where it was in the previous quarter. It was. Thanks.

For those that suffer from terribly poor reading comprehension and are unable to comprehend the point I made which was referenced by my Bloomberg link was that the Administration CHANGED THEIR FORECAST DRAMATICALLY ... in net borrowing for April through June, up from the $123 billion it had penciled in back in February.

In other words, Trump's Treasury Department was off by over 400%

Duh.

It's shocking how terribly poor the reading comprehension is of alleged Cal grads here.
