Thanks for pointing this out - hadn't seen it. Something similar happened in Colorado a few years ago. The militarization of our domestic police force combined with qualified immunity and general lack of accountability is astounding. I think it should be considered a taking which the responsible governmental entity should pay for but the proto fascists consider it the price of freedom.

That's why I likened Meghan and Harry to police and criminal justice reform.

The monarchy is massively popular in Britain. So even calling for major reforms are hard. Even if the Queen and Prince Charles wanted to shake things up, they are facing an institution.

Same with police and criminal justice. Cops will always be popular, of course, and criminals will always be unpopular, of course. So trying to generate change is a major task. It's embedded in the institution.
