Here's some relevant quotes from Kirk:

"I think empathy is a new age term that does a lot of damage" - Kirk

You didn't even include the whole quote. Charlie went on to say he prefers sympathy because you can't really ever feel someone else's pain.

Your posts are so full of holes. Charlie Kirk had security, he wasn't "dumb", "naive", or "entitled" as he created this whole movement since he was 18. He was not in an "untouchable" bubble.

Cool story.

The event at Utah State University didn't even have an entry checkpoint.
No gate. No bag check. Not even a QR check for the tickets.

Once again, you have NO IDEA what you're talking about.

Charlie was like a son to Trump. You think this is some photo op? Trump quite literally owes his second term to Charlie and Trump knows that. This is deeply personal to him, more than his house being raided… more than being impeached

Rap music is largely degenerate… any music that consistently glorifies rape/murder/drugs/etc is.

Pretty sure his point on the Holocaust is that more people have died from abortions, which is a fact

Can't support the racist language in the second clip, I've never claimed he was perfect either

He's far from perfect.
He also blames women in their 20's for the low birth rate.
He checks an awful lot of "boxes" . . . including the misogynist one.

As mentioned, I said he's not perfect. Love how you ignore my other points lol

Go outside, get some fresh air, stop believing everything you see on the internet. I hope you find peace, your soul needs it.

There was much more political violence in the 1960's and 70's. Two Kennedys, MLK, Wallace. Plus domestic bombing by political groups. In the 1970's 50-60 bombings per year peaking with 460 in 1970. Targets were US House, State Dept, Pentagon and many more.

Kirk's thing is trivial and a social media murder. . Twitter rhetoric is viscous and inflammatory. It's also divorced from reality. If you're putting out all this venom, you should be aware in a nation long on guns and mental derangement, that there is a reasonable possibility someone is going to shoot you. Think about it more

The main difference between political violence then and now is that previous violence was largely met with disapproval nationwide while today's violence feels justified to a certain group of people, and therefore, celebrated.

This is the key thing that has changed. Many people feel that words = violence and that violence is an appropriate response to words. Many in the media reinforce these ideas.

This is particularly prevalent in academia and among many college students.

"The 34% of students who at least occasionally defend the use of violence to interrupt a speech is an increase from the 32% who said the same last year. In 2022, that figure was 20%. There are also record numbers of students who think it is acceptable to shout down speakers (71%) and to block other students from attending a speech (54%). "

Women are biologically wired to have children in their 20s, not late 30s / 40s after hooking up for years. Society sold this falsehood. 60 Minutes had a story over two decades ago and young college women at an Ivy thought it would be no big deal to get pregnant in their 40s or 50s bc they see celebs doing it - not knowing they had expensive fertility treatments or paid a surrogate 100K.

It's a societal/ cultural issue, but women bear the practical burden. A man in his 30s-50s can marry a younger woman - problem solved (for him). And some studies reportedly say that up to 50% of childless women in their 50s are depressed.

So CK didn't go into that detail and nuance.

There's no question that's part of it for the administration, but that's only part of it. The guy was universally beloved by those who knew him. It's amazing how many people are commenting that they didn't seriously follow him (or other celebrities) but his death has REALLY impacted them. I think that's because of the kindness and decency with which he treated people, his faith and his love of family. There's something more going on with this.

I didn't follow him but I know people that did.

He sounded like he was very much a political nerd that became part of the Trump movement and very much interested in facilitating OPEN DEBATE and spirited discourse.

As Gavin Newsom said, "In a democracy, ideas are tested through words and good-faith debate - - - never through violence. Honest disagreement makes us stronger; violence only drive us further apart and corrodes the values at the heart of this nation."

I don't have a problem with that.
That's what our country is based on.

But a minute of silence at an EU Parliament assembly?
Ridiculous.

But I see people using his death as a "weapon".
And that's what's wrong.

I think all of these political bodies granting him a moment of silence reflects the politicians being able to empathize (non-political definition of being able to put oneself in another's shoes) with a political figure being assassinated. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but we can all certainly agree that a political figure being assassinated at a public event is different, and perhaps ironically less tragic, than kids dying at a school shooting. The message and the messenger are completely different. I grew up during the late 60's and this definitely takes me back to the bad old days of MLK, RFK, George Wallace, etc...

The moments of silence feel appropriate for a publoc figure. Guessing there was one for john lennen. It is airforce 2 and suggeations for him to lie in state that are massively over the top.

Still true except for the social media chattering class. They turn words into blood- it will continue because they are chained to the beast that feeds them. No normal person knows who Charlie Kirk is.

On one hand, all the freaks on this social media forum are apparently aware of who Charlie Kirk is, on the other hand, so are the thousands of young people who showed up to hear him speak at the Utah college as well the tens of thousands of other students who showed up to his Turning Point USA events throughout the years.

They won't backpedal. The truth doesn't matter. A rightie shot at Trump and they still call him a lefty or just say "they" tried to kill Trump. It's all propaganda for their fascist movement.

Is this the same CNN rep that said Kamala is up 3 points over Trump in Iowa?
