I went into this ready to blame Alex Pretti.

You people who are still defending this killing, you are at least twelve hours behind the news cycle. Even Trump himself is backpedaling... and he basically never backpedals. Please at least get the latest talking points (which start with "Governor Walz and I had a great talk. We will be working together... ").
Of course the late Mr. Pretti, if he wanted to be sure to keep himself out of harm's way, should have stayed ten feet back, or not brought his firearm with him... or both. But that in no way justifies what happened to him.
"LEO", LOL: These are hastily-organized, rag-tag, under-trained, overly-testosteroned, formerly-unemployed clowns, some of whom are still wearing the jeans they wore when they were first recruited off the streets. They look and behave like the groups of thugs you see riding in the back of pick-ups in South Sudan. And this is why even freaking Trump is pulling them out of Minnesota.
Get a clue: Trump is all about "going too far", but this time he really crossed the line and even he knows it.

Honestly, at this point I don't believe these guys when they say they'd blame ICE if agents shot at people who were just standing on the sidewalk protesting. They are completely down the rabbit hole on this and will find any reason not to blame the government.

My favorite story about Shakur was the time she robbed a church and threatened to blow the priest's head off over $1800 that was set aside to feed the poor. The perfect socialist. https://t.co/vMUynVY7kx

Why do people keep saying things like "lawfully shot"? The law is literally made up by the people. And clearly the people in Minnesota (and most Americans) believe this is murder.

It looks like Pretti had a history of confronting law enforcement. I thought nursing paid well enough that he didn't have to resort to "observing"?

Beat me to it! I was just thinking of how to articulate that idea...
Gotta say, it's just crazy how the two sides keep seeing the same events and interpreting them quite differently. Eh, maybe not so crazy, all things considered.

I’m a liberal Democrat in a swing state. Walz’s surrender was shameful and puts communities of color at risk. We all need to STAY HOME during the midterms to send a clear message to Democratic Party leadership that this kind of retreat is not acceptable.

It looks like the agitators don't like the idea of Walz negotiating with Hitler.
