Neither of those made the billboard 200 on the exit polls I've seen. The whole trans thing has quieted down big time where I live. Trump lost the whole voter fraud argument with misguided, fraudulent and embarrassing witch hunts in attempts to uncover …nothing

If Trump lost the voter fraud argument then states wouldn't have passed voter Id laws. The trans issue has not quieted down, even Washington and Colorado just voted to ban men from girls sports. Girls are still being subjected to unfair, unsafe, and gross practices.

They do care about the top list inasmuch as it affects the bottom list. So if tariffs or wars affect cost of living, then people care (as we have seen).

I would add to your first list that something/someone is an "existential threat to our democracy". Too many fancy words there. Sure, I care about that, as do lots of other Atlantic-reader types, but we add up to a very small percentage of the population.

I think our democracy is being threatened. The irony is it's because of the same people who are warning us.

Add " fascism", "communism" and "socialism" which are three European constructs that have nothing to do with the American experiment

I think people do care about that but for a long while haven't believed that Trump is really a threat to democracy. And given how he's gotten spanked in the midterms I can't say they're wrong. He can be beaten like any other politician.
