Yup it is shady. But the Alaskan courts reviewed it and nothing ran afoul of the law here. They probably need to fix the laws.

James O'Keefe attempts to prove how easy it is to commit voter fraud, gets busted for multiple felonies. Apparently he and an associate dressed up in Arabic clothing, used fake accents and adopted the names of real voters to try and vote in Minnesota's primary election in August. They were immediately detected and charged with felonies for unlawful voting and identity theft. Once again, we have Republicans getting caught committing voter fraud.

you will note that this is a tit for tat and practiced by both sides.

I won't note that but if you can provide some evidence that this tactic is used on both sides then Im open to the conversation

This was a systematic attempt to skew the democratic process. Legal, looks like it. Shady af, without a question. It speaks to the morality of the democratic party as we discussed yesterday.

Looks like it might not be totally legal considering people perjured themselves in court saying that democrats weren't involved.

That would potentially be a perjury charge for those people but not a case for removing the other Dan Sullivan from the ballot. He followed the rules and got the signatures.

As to morality: let's not pretend that Republicans don't also do all of this and more to try to rig things where they can. Democrats are (finally) now fighting fire with fire here. If either party doesn't want these things to happen then they need to pass laws to end such practices. I support that. I don't support one side having to be moral and responsible while the other gets to gerrymander up the wazoo.

Rock legend Neil Young filed a $10 million copyright infringement lawsuit against the Trump 47 Committee in October 2026 for repeatedly playing his 1989 song "Rockin' in the Free World" at political campaign rallies without his permission.

Photo my buddy took of Neil in July,1974 when we were at a Day on the Green at Oakland Coliseum.

Rolling Stone ranked Young's performance of the song in question on 9/30/89 as the 10th best musical performance in the show's history:

Not sure what that has to do with this topic but sure.

It's just the most obvious example of how both sides pull plenty of "dirty tricks" in politics that are perfectly legal but nevertheless unethical. If you want to stop it then you need laws to stop everyone, not just appealing to the other side's better nature.

Republican Frank Artiles is still fighting a conviction for charges related to helping a guy get on the ballot with a similar name as the Democratic incumbent in 2020. The shenanigans caused the Democrat to lose. Republican Frank Artiles was prosecuted and convicted in Florida for illegal actions he took related to getting the guy on the ballot - but getting him on the ballot by itself, wasn't illegal.

If Mary Peltola broke the law, she should be prosecuted like Republican Frank Artiles.

I criticize politicians based on what they do, not what letter is next to their name. Nobody gets a free pass, Trump included. And calling someone a socialist because they disagree with you isn't an argument. It's just a way to avoid having one.
