And yet ICE was found to have used a 5-year old coming home from pre-school as "bait" to manipulate the Mom coming outside from inside her home. - - - Or did ICE claim that the 5-year old was actually the "target"?

Feel free to explain that one to me.

It already was explained to you multiple times, yet you repeat this nonsense.

*Why do the ICE officers get the f@uck out of Dodge when they first shoot him. Some come back to the body after leaving it there like road kill. There were more officers clown stomping him in the scrum than those that returned after the death penalty was administered.

likely because they had to keep the other observers and protesters away

What?

The only reason why a couple of guys returned was to COUNT THE BULLET HOLES in him.
Not perform CPR. Not conduct crowd control.

It's puzzling why you are unaware of this.

I do. Context is important. The original post he was responding to stated Islam has made it to New York and now it's time to get rid of dogs as pets (paraphrased.) His response was, people aren't choosing Muslims over their dogs. People wouldn't choose Jews over their dogs. People wouldn't choose Christians over their dogs.

As stated in another thread this morning, people are better to their animals than they are humans and many people feel more protective over their dogs than they do their own families.

DoJ cases against protesters keep collapsing as officers' lies are exposed in court | Trump administration | The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/21/doj-protesters-federal-agents-cases

"In several high-profile cases, the prosecutions fell apart because they relied on statements by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers that had no supporting evidence or in some instances were proven by video footage to be blatantly false….

The most recent significant fumble came from Minneapolis prosecutors, who last week dismissed felony assault charges they had filed against two Venezuelan men accused of "violently beating" an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer "with weapons" on 14 January.….

ICE director Todd Lyons said ICE and the DoJ had opened an investigation into the case after videos revealed "sworn testimony provided by two separate officers appears to have made untruthful statements", marking a rare acknowledgement of possible wrongdoing by DHS officials.

"It is very unusual for the government to move to dismiss its own case with prejudice,"…..

And on Tuesday, a judge dismissed with prejudice federal assault charges filed against a Minneapolis man accused of "tackling" an ICE agent on 15 December. The judge, Donovan Frank, noted the ICE officer was not injured and called the allegations "vague and contradictory". Federal officers had reviewed multiple videos of the events, and, "None saw a 'tackle' or other kind of assault," Frank said…..

In Chicago, of 92 people arrested for assaulting or impeding officers last fall, 74 cases have resulted in no charges; in 13 cases, charges were filed and dismissed; and five charged cases were still pending, a recent investigation by Fox 9, a Minneapolis-based station, showed. As of the end of January, there have been no convictions.

In LA, the federal public defenders have won all six cases filed against ICE protesters that have gone to trial since June, the LA Times recently reported. Fewer than 1% of federal criminal defendants were acquitted across the US in fiscal year 2024, with US prosecutors traditionally having a roughly 90% conviction rate, the paper noted.

Juries have also issued not guilty verdicts for people accused of assaulting ICE or similar charges in Louisville, Kentucky, Seattle and Washington DC."

I would want more than Bill's word for it. The DOJ has zero credibility, even more so when it makes any statement relating to ICE operations. He better reference case numbers of those convicted.

"Public allegations regarding false statements by Bill Essayli include a 2022 complaint accusing him of making false attestations about his legal domicile and residence to meet requirements for Assembly District 63. Additionally, in December 2025, Representative Dave Min and 12 colleagues requested a Department of Justice investigation into Essayli's conduct as Acting U.S. Attorney, citing allegations of inappropriate behavior, including the filing of criminal charges they contend lacked probable cause."
calmatters.org

The Guardian article I cited said this:

"In LA, the federal public defenders have won all six cases filed against ICE protesters that have gone to trial since June, the LA Times recently reported……

Ciaran McEvoy, a spokesperson for the US attorney's office in Los Angeles, did not respond to questions about the specific cases, but shared data indicating that as of Friday, his office had filed charges against 103 people for assaulting or impeding federal officers or related allegations since last year. In addition to the six people acquitted at trial, 25 of those cases ended in dismissals and another 25 defendants pleaded guilty. The rest were pending."

Your post was in "reply" to mine but it replies to nothing stated in the Guardian article I posted. Your comment relates to a CNN investigation I am unaware of and didn't comment on.

Interesting that Ciaran McEvoy, a spokesperson for the US attorney's office in Los Angeles quoted in the Guardian article did not corroborate Bill Essayli's claim that of the 103 charged "the majority have been convicted. Hmm.

A 6-year-old is typically in kindergarten or first grade and lacks the maturity, judgment, and ability to handle emergencies independently.

Major organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Safe Kids Worldwide generally recommend that children not be left home alone until around 11-12 years old (for short periods), depending on maturity. Children under 10-11 are rarely considered ready, and experts view leaving a child that young unsupervised as putting them at significant risk.

Legal Perspective

Only a handful of states set a minimum age, and even then, Kansas is the lowest at 6 years old (but this is rare and often comes with strict conditions). In the vast majority of places, leaving a 6-year-old alone even briefly can be investigated as potential neglect by child protective services if reported, especially if any harm occurs or if it's deemed unreasonable.

In states without a set age, laws focus on whether the child is placed in danger or left in a situation where they could suffer harm. Authorities (police, CPS) often consider ages under 7-8 as automatically risky for any unsupervised time.

Every child is different, but at 6, the consensus from child welfare experts, pediatricians, and most parenting guidelines is clear: they need direct adult supervision.

As a mandated reporter, I have had to contact CPS before regarding this exact topic.

Edit note: I was under the assumption that he went to the restaurant to get food. If he was just stepping outside, I do see how this is sketchy on ICE's part
