The description by ICE is bull***** You can't shoot law abiding citizens who have done what the government asked them to do to carry a concealed weapon. This is insane and needs to stop.
I offer my perspective as a former conceal carry permit holder. I was taught - and suspect this is taught in every single CC class across the country - that you show your hands to LEO and calmly say something like "I am a conceal carry permit holder and I have a firearm on me." I have done a version of this myself. Interacting with LEO was always a very scary time for me while a permit holder; it is inherently dangerous and a risky point in time for a permit holder.
It is incredibly reckless and dangerous to be around LEO without doing that because you are creating a risk of getting yourself shot. The fact he was carrying and chose to interfere, obstruct and resist LEO is literally inconceivable to me. It's like getting drunk and repeatedly running across a busy freeway at night with dark clothes on.
Well said. What he did is just something you don't do with a conceal carry permit. I know nobody who carries a gun that would handle this situation the way he did. I am sorry he is dead, that really sucks that he either didn't have the training or didn't have the wherewithal to keep his cool.
What is the opinion of this panel of two with regard to administering 10 9mms into the back of a person after they have been disarmed and are subdued face down on the asphalt? Asking for a friend.
There are 266 million adults (18+) in the U.S. How many of those people do you think buy what the Trump Administration is selling with regard to ICE use of force misconduct in Minnesota and with regard to the claim that the decedent was a domestic terrorist attempting to assassinate ICE officers?
Trump is a throwback guy that preferred the environment of the good old days: You know, the Summer of 1967 when The Guard and local police gunned down Black rioters in major U.S. cities; the Oakland Induction Center Protest of 1967 when OPD and the Alameda County Sheriffs Dept. broke bones and fractured skulls on horseback with Billy clubs and horses kicking bodies; the Alameda County Sheriff using buckshot at Cal in 1969 and killing Jamie Rector on a rooftop on Telegraph in 1969; and the Guard killing four students at Kent State in 1970.

The July 28, 1967, Life magazine cover featured a haunting image of 12-year-old Joe Bass Jr., who was shot and wounded by stray pellets during the Newark riots.
