This is what non-Black men of color voted for. I'm sure they are more knowledgeable about immigration than I am so who am I to complain?

It costs $300,000 to $500,000 a year to treat short bowel syndrome in a young child. Can Mexico really not treat this? Is Mexico giving us money for her care? I don't agree with deporting her, but I also don't understand why Democrats brought her and her family here.

Read the article. Apparently no, she could not get this treatment in Mexico.

I read the article. Are you sure Mexico really can't treat this? Alternatively, are they paying for her treatment here?

AI Overview:

"Yes, Mexico can treat short bowel syndrome (SBS) in infants. Several Mexican hospitals, like the Hospital Infantil de Mxico Federico Gmez (HIMFG), have experience in managing SBS, including using techniques like the intestinal bypass technique to help with intestinal rehabilitation and nutritional support."

I really don't mind letting in someone who genuinely needs help like this. Seems like the parents just want to work and provide for their kid. I thought the point was ot get rid of scammers and criminals?

I agree. My comment was meant to be in the spirit of micro/macro. I seriously doubt anyone would object to helping this little girl but for the backdrop of giving away so much to so many, quite often people who are here illegally.

Look how many people too, it's literally their entire construction crew. This was never about filling in employment gaps. This is about using the cheapest labor in order to gain an advantage on the competition, however it just makes it so every competitor does it too. So instead of americans being able to use a labor shortage for increased wages, they get taken out of the entire sector.

Not using illegal immigrant labor will add another $3,700 a year to the costs of a typical American household.

But you don't care . . .

This is the dirty little secret. People like to tell us Illegals are only taking the jobs American's won't do like landscaping, hotel cleaning crews and picking fruit. It is simply not true.

The comment about the 3,700 and you living at home was a joke. My apologies. I copied it word for word from another poster who constantly launches personal attacks at folks. It is crazy that I was moderated so fast and that other post is still up there.

How many young American men do you reckon are willing to put in a hard day's work at a construction site?

I have spoken to at least two tradesman in business for themselves that said they would love to have their sons take over their business but there is one minor glitch:

THEY ARE TOO F@UCKING LAZY!*

I think it should be much easier for law-abiding and productive immigrants to gain citizenship than it currently is. If we can do that, I am fine with prosecuting and tossing out the rest.

It's a big game. The UniParty and Wall Street want an unlimited supply of cheap labor, and Democrats want to rig elections for decades (including Amnesty).

Democrats abandoned the middle class and blue collar Americans for POC and unlimited illegal immigration, rigged voter roles, elections, etc.

We allow over one million legal residents entry per year, plus various visas, H1B visas, student viseas, etc.

The UniParty and MSM also lie about the true illegal immigrant count which is easily somewhere between 35 and 50 million. (Ivy League academic research estimate + Autopen importing 10-21 million more.)

If you tell Americans we have, say, 45 million illegal immigrants, 300,000 missing children, the average uneducated illiterate illegal immigrant costing us $800K to $1 million per treaspasser, etc., they likely would demand serious policies and actions. They don't want that. They want short term fixes, corporate American wants its next quarter to look good.

Just like Ukraine. They won't tell us there are 1.2 to 1.3 million dead Ukrainians, 200K plus amputees, no hope of winning, etc. They want $$$ and control and MIC games.

And why are we spending $1 Trillion per year on military, 400 - 700 military bases around the world?

Insanity.

Sycasey's post is precisely the kind of common sense approach people from both sides should be able to agree on. We are a nation of immigrants. We should promote legal immigration. We should halt the nonsense we've seen lately from D's and globalist R's of gaming the system to benefit their fat cat donors who want the cheap labor for even higher profits.

Okay, but the influx of illegals still helps Ds. @20% of CA's population are illegals. That means CA gets about 10 extra members in Congress. They are virtually all D's.
