Yeah, what happens to people who have legitimate reasons to be crossing the border, i. e. American citizens or Mexicans legally employed in the US? How long is El Paso going to foot the bill for a police presence on the bridge?

1. They haven't departed from this, they never intended to fulfill the steps; the goal was to legalize more Democrat and government-dependent individuals. Mass illegal immigration would help rig state elections.

2. There is nothing "radical" about deporting convicted murderers, rapists, and criminals. There is nothing radical about a secure border, or not wanting 40-50 Million illegal immigrants overwhelming all of our social safety systems.

Some of the architects of this might be nihilists, others might support replacement theory.

We've batted this issue around here for years. Nice to have it properly written up.
A snippet:

Trump defeated Harris 312 to 226 in the Electoral College and won 2.3 million more popular votes. But had Harris won Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania which Trump won by just 230,000 votes then she would have secured exactly the 270 electoral votes needed for the win.

A mere 0.15 percent of voters nationwide was the difference between Trump's second term and Harris's first. Is that really a mandate?

Progressives often play The Race Card as they don't have much positive and demonstrably workable to run on. Saul Alinsky smear tactics. Criminal is criminal. In tandem, the drug cartels and human traffickers are predominantly from Central and South America, though there are probably Chinese entities connected to our massage (prostitution) parlors.

Decades ago the Heritage Foundation said the average illegal immigrant cost us $400,000 per year. That probably tips one million now. Our social services are swamped with illegal immigrants, some poor, some moochers.

President Trump rescued Wall sections Biden was purposefully trying to sell for pennies on the dollar. I'm sure we'll fund out if construction starts shortly on an emergency basis, or if RFQs have to go out.

Positive Results? Under President Trump 1.0, we had Real Wage growth, record low unemployment, and blue collar wages rose faster than white collar wages.

This included Real Wage growth and record low unemployment for African-, Hispanic-, and Asian-Americans.

The border was secure, we didn't have 300,000 missing children, our cities were clean and vibrant, and we didn't have mass drug bazaars (aka homelessness) and plentiful, cheap, powerful drug availability. Hundreds of thousands of Latino women and girls were raped by coyotes, and tens of thousands weren't trafficked. Many Latino men I know appreciated his cheaper fuel prices, diesel, no inflation, and overall sanity.
