It tells me nothing of the kind. Judges are human, and they have opinions which can change for various reasons. Barrett and Kavanaugh were thought to be safe picks for the Supreme Court, but several times they have not voted with the other Republican judges. Republicans have a tough time passing anything in a Congress run by them for the moment, because many Republicans will vote with the Democrats, or abstain.
