Vivek and Musk would be clear agents of change.

But they all challenge the status quo. It could be amazing.

I have a life long friend who knows him. Agrees he's been running for POTUS for decades. Has the SF Democrat machine behind him. Plumpjack Cafe, et al, aided by the City elites and society crowd, then the yuppies, add in the gay DINKs (gay marriage issue), Frank Jordan crowd, he had an easy beginning. Care Not Cash won over others.

The City is a Liberal bubble, probably like many urban cities. Decades ago I was with the aforementioned friend and some tertiary Liberal supporters in the Triangle one night. It may have been after a fundraiser. I start debating some hot international issue with an attractive Liberal woman. Turns out she was loaded, probably poses w AntiochWags in the Nob Hill Gazette. She was very opinionated, but lacked some basic knowledge on the issue at hand. (I had happened to recently read up on the topic.)

She got flustered when I mentioned a few salient facts, and quickly told me she maxed out her contribution level to the DNC, various Democrat races, etc. As if money made her argument stronger. It was an odd rejoinder.

Where has Newson shown leadership in Sacramento, and what moderate or Conservative causes has he fought for to broaden his base?

He hasn't pushed a reservoir, nor cleaned up our forrests. He's wasted tens of Billions on a train to nowhere, and Global Warming. Drug cartels run the northern tip of our state, and he's closing down prisons at a record pace.

One of his first acts as Governor was to go to El Salvador and encourage illegal immigration. He seems reactive, not proactive. I don't see any of that selling nationally, and those aren't the moves of an intelligent person. They're the choices of an idealogue.

The weird thing about this sketch is, why did SNL wait until now to spoof Biden and Harris? It's as if they were untouchable. They trotted out a better impersonator for Trump early on (Alec Baldwin) and used a much younger actress to impersonate Hilary in sketches where none of her bad sides were interpreted.

I have no idea, I don't watch SNL regularly. I just saw a full clip of this sketch earlier and it is definitely not a right-wing sketch.
