Here's how you know how how of touch Biden voting liberal morons like Unit2Sucks are. They try to measure Trump by the same yardstick that they use to determine who is worth admiring and who has worth in society. To guys like Unit2Sucks, you admire someone based on their number of degrees and from which universities, what they say in public (whether it matches their actions or votes doesn't matter because it's the marketing that matters), and whether they honor the norms of society. And because that's the only way they are capable of viewing the world, they can't understand the appeal of this vulgarian who fails at all those measures.
Trump's appeal is 1000% that he is an outsider to the normal government types that people like Unit2Sucks admire so much. The fact that he's stupid, uncouth, narcissistic, too old for the office, and lacks any sort of ethics doesn't matter to the people who support him because they already understand that the government has been screwing them over for decades and that you can change the players all you like and it doesn't matter because it's the money behind the people in office that dictates the policy. The people he's thumbing his nose at pretend to be different, but at the end of the day, they're all narcissists, too old for the offices they hold in most cases, and unethical too. They just hide it better and when you're a dumbass Biden voter, the packaging matters to you every bit as much as the packaging matters to Trump voters. Nobody in their right mind would look at the last three years of government and say they've been doing a good job, but it's so important to Biden voters to pretend that it has because to admit that the system is horribly and perhaps irrevocably broken would mean they'd have to confront that all the myths they've believed all of their lives about the United States were bull***** And since most of these dumbass Biden voters live comfortable lives free from the destructive consequences of of the bad decisions made by the people they've elected, what does it matter to them if people are working multiple jobs to be able to afford rent and healthcare and the necessities of life? That's not the reality of their lives. They want their American myth back and they are willing to put asides any values they may have pretended to hold in order to get it back.
There are people out there delusional enough that I think believe that Trump is fighting some honorable fight on their behalf and that's the kind of people that got sucked into protesting at the Capitol because some guy couldn't admit that he'd lost. But that's a very small slice and not at all representative of what all Trump voters are like. Most of them are just people who are using their vote to give the elites who ruined their lives a giant middle finger. And if Democrats had used their two years of complete control of government to do something that meaningfully made these people's lives better, Trump wouldn't have a chance in hell of winning in 2024. But instead, they decided to put of their eggs in the baskets of a war that to most Americans reinforces the message that "We'd rather spend our money playing global political bull**** games than doing anything for you", supporting Israeli genocide, and Trump grievance.
Trump as a major political figure simply doesn't exist in a world where the government is doing right by its citizens. A guy like that only comes to power in a failing society.
