It was recently posted here that Russia may win in Ukraine if we don't send another 60 billion dollars and, if they win in Ukraine, NATO countries are next. Using this brilliant liberal logic, I have deduced that California is likely next and Russia will enforce an abortion ban with Trump as governor.


Putin's abortion ban will also amend the time an abortion is allowed, 0-1000 months, and the people allowed to make any abortion decision to include him.

Getting younger candidates is simple. Make it easier to vote and get rid of the Electoral College. But I think you would prefer Biden v. Trump to that infusion of democracy.

Maybe these posts have thrown out some good karmic vibes. CNBC just had on, for the first time, the candidate I feel is, BY FAR, the best for this country at this time...Dean Phillips. And it's not even close. He's a current democrat congressman but isn't afraid to call out Biden, his party and Trump. I've only voted for one democrat and it was only because of Trump. But I'd vote for this guy over anyone right now. It's incredible he's getting squashed in the amount of coverage he's getting. I'm starting my groundswell campaign for him here on BI. And please (not you Dajo) don't throw in my face my failed Ramaswamy push. He went off the cliff early with me and I said as much. Phillips at least has a reasonable business background and impressive political background. I can't believe folks aren't falling over themselves for this guy given ANY of our other choices, on both sides.

It would be extremely unusual for a sitting President to be replaced by their party before a 2nd term. I'm not even sure it's ever happened before.

Biden has had the best 1st term of any President in my adult life.


I'm not one to deny folks their opinion. It doesn't keep me from shaping my opinions of their judgement, which I keep to myself. My neuropsychologist friend thinks Biden is still a fully functional adult. It clouded my view on his opinion that I should never drive after my seizure. I'm legally driving again.
I will say it will certainly be entertaining if Trump or Biden is our president again.

Sorry but he's not a party leader, he's a random third term congressman who has not distinguished himself in any way. Can you name any legislation he's sponsored? Or meaningful committee assignments? What impact has he had in congress? As for business, he runs his family's business (that was successful before he joined). So he's not exactly self-made.

There are dozens of random "impressive" people like him in congress and none of them would beat an incumbent for the presidency either. Biden isn't impressive but he's proven that he can get a team in place that can get stuff done. He's achieved more during his term than just about anyone expected and his biggest problem is that he remains a gaffe machine, and an older version of what he's always been. He's restored some of the luster that we lost internationally under Trump and history will rate him favorably. You don't take a guy like that and replace him with a random third-term congressman. That plus people will eventually find out Philips is jewish (when the GOP starts attacking him for being a (((globalist))) and we all know that our candidates still have to pretend to be Christian to make it to the white house.

I'd love for random impressive people to run and call out the two buffoons that are seemingly our only choices. But this guy is the only guy who's got the balls to try. There are dozens of random "impressive" people like him in congress and none of them would beat an incumbent for the presidency either. Biden isn't impressive but he's proven that he can get a team in place that can get stuff done. He's achieved more during his term than just about anyone expected and his biggest problem is that he remains a gaffe machine, and an older version of what he's always been. He's restored some of the luster that we lost internationally under Trump and history will rate him favorably. You don't take a guy like that and replace him with a random third-term congressman. That plus people will eventually find out Philips is jewish (when the GOP starts attacking him for being a (((globalist))) and we all know that our candidates still have to pretend to be Christian to make it to the white house.


I'd love for random impressive people to run and call out the two buffoons that are seemingly our only choices. But this guy is the only guy who's got the balls to try. We might as well have a cardboard cutout of Biden if he gets elected and wonder just who is making the decisions. At least with Feinstein we could see the person next to her telling her to vote 'yes'.
Sure, but those people would all lose too and rational people (like Newsom, Klobuchar, Duckworth, etc) all recognize this. I understand your frustration but most people who run for president have a reason to do so. Sometimes it's legitimate and sometimes it's not. I have no idea why Phillips is running, but it's not to become President in 2024. The generous side of me says it's because he wants to raise his profile to eventually become an important person who does things to help this country.

There was a constant drip about the batsh&t crazy antics of Trump behind the scenes. This drip came from Trump's cabinet and people he hired to work most closely with him.

There has been virtually none of that during Biden's presidency. This is what some normalcy looks like. Biden continues to be a gaffe machine but the infighting but there are virtually no operational parallels between Biden's ship and the scandal-ridden prior administration. How many major cabinet members has Biden burned through in his 3+ years in office? 1. Trump had 14 during his tenure.

You can attribute it however you want to, but it's hard not to acknowledge that it speaks well for Biden's actual performance. Whether you like his policies is a completely different story but if any of the stuff the right wing outrage machine claims were true, you would be hearing about it. For example, if some person or group of people were pulling all the strings, you would have disgruntled out of favor officials providing a constant drip of material to the press in DC. The press eats this stuff up and would do anything they can to share it. That's what we saw during the Trump admin and we would see it here. Instead, the press relentlessly focuses on amplifying the right wing attacks on Biden's age and son.

I will definitely agree that Biden and his staff know how to keep information in house. I have no idea who makes the decisions for the guy who Roombas around the stage after a prewritten news conference. Now I really do feel better. I'll steal and paraphrase a line from Ocean's 11: it's nice to be run by proper politicians again.
