Article says that Trump VP stakes is down to 4 men:

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum,
US Senators Marco Rubio of Florida,
Tim Scott of South Carolina,
JD Vance of Ohio.

Let's place our bets on these 4.

Burgum is too ugly, too smart. Trump likes "Central Casting". He also likes people that he can control, and since he can't argue with intelligence, Burgum is out.

Of course it won't be "Liddle Marco".

And let's face it, no matter how much Tim Scott kneels before his master, Donald Trump will never pick a Black man as his VP.

Yes, Doug Burgum is smarter than Donald Trump (as am I), but he knows how to subjugate himself and bow.

His goal is to become President, and the easiest route is being VP to the fat man who is "one-too-many Big Macs" from keeling over.

Trump's necessity is money. Trump doesn't have it but Burgum does.

So their interests coincide perfectly. Burgum will provide the money and Trump will provide the possibility to ascend to the Presidency.

Doug Burgum came out of the closet today. He's a RINO.

One advantage to Burgum is that he can probably deliver North Dakota!

That's Trump making nice, since he now realizes that there is a Navy Seal team in the water, shockingly close to Mar a Lago, and Biden's head might just clear long enough to give an official order to protect American democracy. Immunity, baby!

Can anyone explain why it is a false narrative to assert that tRump's economic policies have the end result of making workers worse off while further enriching the very wealthy. Asking for a friend.

CAP - a Progressive group accused of being anti Semitic, anti Catholic, and condoning sexual harassment. Shady funding as well.

Wikipedia: "Lack of transparency for funding sources

"Some open government groups, such as the Sunlight Foundation and the Campaign Legal Center, criticized the center's failure to disclose its contributors, particularly because it was so influential to the Obama administration.[31][32] CAP's website states that corporate donors are not allowed to remain anonymous.[33] Nathan Robinson, writing in 2018 for Current Affairs wrote that CAP "continues to conceal the identities of many of its largest donors." He also criticized CAP for receiving "shady donations" and for a grant of $200,000 to the American Enterprise Institute in 2018.[34]"

I took about three hours off from BI to watch the CNN reports (probable mistake on my part)... here's where we're at:

I'm a fan of dark humor, so I forgive the wags out there...

But outside of that, isn't there supposed to be some sort of honeymoon period for events like this where "normal people" express remorse that it happened, without going political? Even twenty-four hours? Even eighteen hours?

Why? Because manners. Because class. Because shared humanity. A political leader was shot. An innocent bystander was killed. Two others were injured. (The shooter died, too, but I kind of don't care.)

Bottom line, I guess it doesn't matter, especially in this day and age, but screw everybody out there who went political on this today. You know who you are. You are part of the problem.

Because character counts.

It does.

Character does count.

My rule of thumb for any breaking story like this (absent something actually extended like the OJ car chase or something) is that you can watch the news channels for about half an hour at most and then they will just start to repeat things you already know.

So yes, three hours is generally a mistake.

Thank goodness the shooter didn't succeed, otherwise, the last thing we would be talking about is a grace period from going political.

You are correct, but I couldn't break away... kept hoping for some new information to come out. Instead, I got to watch the video about 150 times* and hear them interview people who had basically nothing to say, but said it anyway.

A post today claims to be from the SS counter snipers, and said superiors never gave him the OK to shoot.

It is suspicious and video evidence is quite revealing. Was there someone else on the roof that prevented a clear pathway to the shooter? It didn't seem like there was. Did the shooter represent a clear and present danger to others? Obviously.

Per NBC News, the counter snipers didn't need approval to shoot and did NOT follow prior protocol. Something isn't right here.
