First off, the Trump admin is playing games with semantics and reality. It's not a transcript but they want the public to believe so. The problem here is the whole Ukraine narrative is so basic, they can't hide or run a chaos play like with Mueller.

Joseph Maguire is the Acting DNI, appointed by Trump. He is a former military man for decades. He just testified that he believed there were others who could do the DNI chief job better than he, but the President asked him to do it, so he did.

He was forwarded the Whistleblower complaint from the Inspector General. Law requires that such a complaint be forwarded to the Congress within 7 days.

However, he is testifying that he alone made personal decision to NOT forward the complaint to Congress because he felt that the complaint did not fall under some classification that required him to do that.



The Dems are trying to point out that this is a major No-No, and asserting that if it were not for this hearing, they would never have received the complaint, as required under law. To his credit, Maguire is saying he will turn it over to Congress (I think he did indeed say that very simply).

But at least one GOP committee member used his 5 minutes to try and shame Dems for impugning this character of this career military man.

Seems to me this Maguire guy has gotten caught up, as so many GOP members do, in simply following the pack, the chain of command.

I don't think the number thing is indicative of anything. My user name has a number too. GB4L is a troll but his name seems pretty good to me. Most of those numbers represent the year the poster graduated from Cal and is a staple of this forum.

Those kind of lines always made me think the trolls are in eighth grade and not very smart ones, i.e., the Trump base...but that might be insulting eighth graders.

So the Trump internal crackdown begins. The problem with these crackdowns when done during a high stakes crisis, it tends to flip people, create more informants or at least friendlier witnesses. For Adolph Hitler that meant a plot to assassinate him. For Trump, probably means others are willing to spill the beans, once the floodgate is open. 1. Sorry offshore but a lot of those guys are long time posters and completely non-trolls on other parts of the board. There are questionable characters among them, but some are clearly legit

2. If you are going to troll the Stanford board go with Cardinal82 or better yet Cardinal2025.
