Mass illegal immigration is completely destroying our country.

Why is no one doing anything about it?

Because they're afraid of ending up like Lydia Brimelow.

Hey Einstein! We can read the tweet. You don't need to copy and paste it into your message.

Nothing to see here. I knew a hard-core senior Democrat who was beyond livid that illegal immigrants sneak into our country and are handed housing, $$$, food stamps, etc., while she lived on a meager retirement income.

No. I usually ignore entertainment shows anyway.

Democrats are complaining that illegal immigrants are destroying their sanctuary cities?

Or just remove the laws. Then we don't have an illegal immigration problem, do we. And just like the national debt we kick the problem down the road. Our government are Jedi masters at doing this and getting both sides arguing against each other.

Our government works with the media, large corporations, and big tech to get both sides arguing with each other.

what is clear is that the loudest complainers are more interested in complaining and holding press conference / pointing fingers than trying to be part of the solution. these non-value add, zero impact performers would not last a minute in any efficient corporate culture. they survive only because they can bilk the public and live off the hard work of people actually adding value to society. welfare queens of congress.

illegal immigration used to be one of the biggest issues I had with Biden, but after watching the right bend the knee for Trump to avoid any action and claiming purity when they know that's not possible, i roll my eyes when the right complains about illegal immigration.

This is a must read. What we know about the negative impacts of immigration hasn't changed since 2006 when Krugman wrote about them. If anything, they are all the more pronounced given the rise of the cartels, fentanyl, human trafficking, etc. What has changed is the political acceptability of having an honest conversation about them. It just goes to show how far the Overton window has moved on this and so many other issues.

https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/paul-krugman-immigration-economy

"The soundness of Krugman's 2006 views on labor economics and immigration has not diminished. What has changed since, however, is the political environment. In 2024, what Krugman said 18 years ago now counts as white nationalist, nativist bigotry, and economic illiteracy."
...
"In 1997, however, an expert panel of the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences concluded that competition with unskilled immigrants was the cause of nearly half of the decline in wages between 1980 and 1994 for native-born high school dropouts, who were disproportionately Black and Hispanic."
...
"Way back in 2006, Paul Krugman agreed that the benefits to the U.S. economy of mass low-skilled immigration were negligible: "First, the net benefits to the U.S. economy from immigration, aside from the large gains to the immigrants themselves, are small. Realistic estimates suggest that immigration since 1980 has raised the total income of native-born Americans by no more than a fraction of 1 percent."

In a nutshell, you hate Krugman except when he says something you like.

I haven't read it yet, but think of the massive cost side:

- Emergency Rooms as hospitals
- hospitals closing
- massive social costs
- plentiful, cheap powerful drugs fueling homelessness (former LA County head Sheriff*)
- gang murders, violent crime, prison and court costs
- children illiterate in 2 languages, CA schools ranked in the bottom 10% for decades
- Americans with lower education levels, or who beat substance abuse, or older, Veterans, having to compete with young healthy bodies

* that former Sheriff is a Democrat, and Latino. He cleaned the homeless up at Venice Beach, Olivera Street, and was then run out of office.

Not enough graft and no $300 per day per diem for Congress to secure our southern border. How much cartel money ends up in Congress members offshore accounts?

Again: only morons who have no confidence in their positions, answer questions with a question.

I am not afraid of anyone. Not anyone in the LGBTQ community, not any of the BI Righteous Righty twits, not even George Soros. You really shouldn't use a word if you don't know the meaning of it.

Why do you fear black and brown people, and non Christians?

I don't fear anybody, I probably spend more time in the heart of Oakland (not hills) than most here. But stopping at taquerias in the barrio, including International, late at night, requires one to be street smart. Aware. I'm not concerned w the Guatemalan gardner or Ethiopian restaurateur. Or the Pho shop legal immigrants.

A Hellcat today was used in a midday armed heist at Walmart in San Ramon, 4 young men. Brazen professionals.

When I was in college we went one night to a place in Oakland called Eli's Mile High Blues Club. It was a great night. Great music. A friend got a bj in the alleyway from a girl he met at the club. She stole his wallet. Good times.

President Trump reminded us yesterday at the Black Conservative Federation event in South Carolina how he closed our border:

- he got the President of Mexico to put 28,000 troops at the border
- he got him to enforce "Stay in Mexico"
- he got the top 10 list of items enacted that the State Department was trying to get for decades

President Biden (and Obama?) responsible for all of this. The Biden Administration:

- After taking office, Biden immediately canceled various Trump-era border initiatives, including the 'Remain in Mexico' policy that required migrants claiming asylum to stay in Mexico until their hearing court date in the U.S.

- Biden also stopped construction of the U.S.-Mexico border Wall and security enhancements within days of taking office. (President Trump says another 200 miles of Wall was scheduled.)

Eight Million known illegal immigrants is more people than the population of 36 states. Not to mention the Millions more that are unknown.

It's gotta be top 3. Mumbles Biden now making noises he may make some minor border changes.

Eye opening interviews on New York City's 'migrant crisis'.

14:30 - Asian American woman describes the crime, free hotels, free food, gang members, and her belief that the illegal immigrants will be used to throw the election in November. She believes a large percentage of the migrants have ill intent.

23:30 - massive shelter constructed on an island in NYC to house the 'migrants'

I guess that's better than running a campaign on how the 2020 election was fraudulent and how the world is so tough for Trump and his family.

Even the pro-Biden LA Times (Davis Leonhardt) details how Biden attracted 8-15 Million illegal immigrants in 3 years:

"Biden himself has been aggressive about using this authority albeit to loosen immigration policy rather than tighten it."

- he quickly expanded asylum

- paused deportations

- expanded a policy known as parole, which the law says should be used "only on a case-by-case basis." (Last year - 300,000)

"These policies, combined with Biden's welcoming rhetoric during the 2020 campaign, contributed to the migration surge. (John Judis went into more detail in a recent Times Opinion essay, as did David Ignatius in a Washington Post column.) The changes signaled to migrants that their chances of being able to enter and remain in the U.S. had risen."

Don't forget ending Trump's remain in Mexico policy.
