….but the issuing of injunctions will speed that up…not that Trump will obey them.

We need the courts and the SCOTUS to bring this thing to a head. If totalitarianism is his goal, force him make his play now.

$27.3 billion for FY2026 vs. $47.4 billion [current FY2025].

Moreover, the Trump Administration aims to consolidate the 27 institutes and centers of the NIH into eight.

They got into trying to rename schools because they thought some of them were named after racists or slave owners or whatever, and even when presented with evidence that they had made some glaring mistakes (stuff like "You had the wrong guy named Sanchez") their response was just to double down and move forward while insisting the process was sound. It only got stopped by lawsuits (and later, a recall election).

This is swiftly becoming the right-wing version of that. Only instead of some relatively low stakes in a local school district, it's the entire US government that's at stake. Fun times!

Like the hundreds of J6 folks locked up, no trial, limited access to lawyers, even Congress members couldn't get in to see the F-up, inhuman facilities?
