There was a free gaza protest near me. The police let the protestors take over a busy street for hours while the "protestors" spray painted street signs, the road, and sidewalks, vandalized the aerospace company it was outside of, littered, and even dumped a bunch of rocks onto the street from the back of a pickup truck. They spray painted free gaza and acab everywhere.
I agree with Bearister's point above, there are some fringe elements in these and many other protests, on both sides of the political spectrum, that tend to be over-mediatized.

Gandi's statements make for interesting historical/social sciences discussion. He had obvious reasons to be biased against Britain / colonialism. As has been discussed in this thread, Britain had a special role in the middle east, and its problems. 1938 was a point in time, just after Britain's Peel resolution for a 2 state solution. One can't help but wonder how Gandi's view would evolve with the removal of Britain from the equation and the influx of terrorist violence by Arabs.

I'm not shocked by this, but it's also hard to see how there would be another result given the current situation (war, displacement, years of oppression).
Agree. There are plenty of stories to the effect that actions by Palestinian civilians (that are consistent with this survey) during Hamas' attack have substantially changed / impacted Israeli views of the war, Gaza, etc. Combined, this is not good news.

On Sunday night she stepped outside the building to see if her house was still standing. She was shot in the leg and fell to the ground. People in the church were unable to rescue her, as each time they went out they came under fire.
During the Gaza protests in 2018-19, more than 10,000 unarmed Palestinians were shot by Israeli snipers with live ammunition.
