Understanding Trump's pardon abuses

https://protectdemocracy.org/work/understanding-trump-pardon-abuses/

BUT TRUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peak TDS .

I wonder how that unimaginative and childish defense (that never factually contests the factual accusations) to every tRump transgression is going to play over the next 4 years?
Unlike you, if Trump does something bad (or is alleged to do so), I'll deal with the claim on the merits. I'll engage in an honest debate. I've criticized Trump many times on this very board.

You on the other hand respond to any criticism of your tribe with a "but Trump" post like the one above. Almost no one is defending the Biden pardon of his son - lots of democrats are disgusted by both the pardon and Joe's lying about it.

Rather than defending the pardon or admitting it was wrong - which would be an honest approach - you post a partisan article about Trump's pardon practices. That was your reaction - to immediately attack Trump. It is truly deranged and broken thinking - TDS.

It was a relevant article in light of the fact tRump is the loudest town crier with regard to the pardoning of Hunter….but then again, he finds it hysterical that anyone thinks he,or his supporters, give a f@uck when it is pointed out he is a hypocrite squared.

I think you are going to find going forward these next 4 years that the BI Far Right Radicals will be eating their own, like snakes, because what is the point of criticizing MAGAs when they own all three branches of government and are backed by the Emperor of Earth and Mars…and they will actually relish any justified outrage by Democrats as MAGAs jack boot the Dems to the cobblestones.

Once again, you fail to engage. Without reference to Trump or his supporters, what are your thoughts on the Biden pardon? On the merits, do you support it or think it is bad?

Let me show you how this works. I think it was bad that Trump pardoned Charles Kushner (albeit Kushner at least served his sentence). Just a bad look and probably not deserved given what Kushner was convicted of. And it is bad Kushner is now nominated to be an ambassador to France, though France is an awful country so perhaps they deserve each other.

See - it is not hard to engage honestly. This is not hard - you can do this if you think really hard.

So again, on the merits, do you support the Hunter pardon or think it is bad?

I'll wait.

Not trying to hijack a fun discussion, but I'm curious: Why do you think France is an awful country?

Anyone who receives a pardon is unfit for office. Fair?

They did their jobs but offended Trump and his followers in the process. The pardons would be to protect them from vindictive prosecution on "Trumped" up charges.

Huh? Trump was president for four years. Was anyone maliciously prosecuted during that time? Remember HRC's freakingly insane private email server used to enrich the Clinton Foundation. Was she prosecuted?

And Liz Cheney. You can't just prosecute them because you don't like them. What could she possibly have done that would allow for prosecution?

Please elaborate. If that is true, then Liz and co have nothing to worry about. If it's not, then maybe a trial where their crimes are exposed is what the country needs and justice demands.

They think that Trump and Kash Patel are about to start charging them for frivolous stuff, as a kind of revenge.

Our political classes are so rotten that they can't even see how corrupt and self- serving mass pardons in advance seem to an average voter

Why not pardon every single Democrat then just in case?

I'd be ok with this image of Joe being carved into Mt Rushmore, Nancy. Honestly, as these old f-ers hang on to their government positions I lose whatever good thoughts I had about them as serving the good of the country. Man, what a sap I've been.

If there is one thing history tells us it is that all politicians and elite classes in the US are above the law.

These hurdles will be cleared during the Trump administration, most of this stuff will get done, and Trump will take credit for it without actually having done anything.

You're not building coal plants, you're just repairing bridges, the climate change audit associated with that operation is pure red tape and gravy for consultants, which costs billions in delays and extra fees. Trump will scrap it. Say what you want about him, but he's definitely qualified to assess and review construction projects.

It's almost as if Kamala's family was from the top caste in India.

"These whistleblowers accuse Harris and her leadership team of routinely sidelining Black staffers' input while lavishing preferential treatment on their white counterparts, who reportedly enjoyed superior office accommodations and perks like paid meals. Meanwhile, campaign offices in minority-dominated areas were allegedly left to function without basic necessities such as running water, reliable internet, or even working computers, forcing staff to operate out of coffee shops and fast-food chains to access free WiFi."

The white Liberal consultants probably got the 10% fee on ad buys, too.

Bridges do need to be repaired and maintained on a regular and ongoing basis.

Yes, that's why the red tape that contributes to impeding these projects like climate change audits will be scrapped.

We will see, though I'm in favor of cutting frivolous red tape. State regulations and transportation boards (the deep bayous and sloughs) may be beyond the control of Trump World.

Whenever I have needed a good laugh the past few days, I just imagine how furious Laura Loomer must have been when she found out that Kari Lake got Voice of America.
